Those clamps don’t look very strong as it already deforming.
Yes, that is correct. GCI G-133 clamps.

Think again... that’s a long bed and you look to have a short bed.

Yeah, that air gap between the two brackets mean a lot of force is on that bolt.

GFC uses 3 per side that are adjustable to work with a large variety of trucks.

That’s also a LB. depending what you have. If it’s a short bed no. I plan on cutting mine. The shorter ones are 450 with a cutout so after all said and done prob easier to just cut it. You can always sell the extra bars you don’t use for $20 each or repurpose. I have a few ideas on how I’ll cut mine so I can retain 4 mounting feet. As it stands fir the SB you only would have access to the front 2.

Will do. That’s what vagabond guys have been doing. I just need to know where it sits and the clearance but no response from Spencer’s and not enough good photos. I may do it onsite when I’m there. Nothing a grinder can’t tackle.

maybe I heard wrong but I don’t see why it wouldn’t be. Biggest part would be moving it off so you may need a few friends to do so. figured like any other shell depending on the weatherproofing. Main reason I never removed mine as they weather sealed the front with some silicone or something along with the side bulb seals or what ever they used .

This is likely about how much room we will have

    039B9A50-2F2F-40EF-927E-CA57778DDA6B.jpg

some ideas I have. Unsure of how far mapped 2 different spots. The one that goes farther forward is likely what we will need and will need to relocate a few holes. Front should be ok but for added support mount a cross bar lower. Likely not needed though unless you mount some heavier items but I will likely do it for price of mind. Mainly need to understand how much clearance we need. I could keep that line all the way back for a full super low profile version but will never be used.

If you check that photo posted, and look past the stressed out bolt (first thing I noticed too), it appears there is some of the camper edge that comes down into the bed. I think that may help out with some of the left-to-right strain, so the bolts are working more with just vertical strain probably or whatever. That kind of inset, if it is what I think it is, makes this unit easier to take on and off IMO. I took my GFC off several times by myself, and with others, and it was always a paint to line up again even if I left the clamp bases on the rails.

    my drifter has 8
you have a bit more room than the drifter does up there, i checked with my mates superpacific the other day, and lined up some earlier version rack side plates (that were too long for the drifter) were too short for the SP, so you have more useable space for sure

my vagabond drifter has 8 clamps holding it down... my girls gfc has 6

Nice it looks like it’s between a GFC and a Vagabond. Maybe it was a GFC I saw 6 either way both have more than 4.

But good feedback now just need to see how much room. The farther mark is what I first assumed longer than GFC but shorter than Vag.

DCSB, both the drifter and the gfc. the drifter was purchased second hand but was installed at the vagabond outdoors shop
