Yeah. Two buck county. But if I come down for the special late season he technically counts as an unbranched antler deer.

Welp. Something happened to my scope. I missed a really nice buck this morning. Clean miss. No hair no blood nothing. Came back to camp, set up a target at 80 yards and shot over 4 inches high. WTF!!! Notice my scope looks like it moved forward about 3/4 of an inch. But the mounts are super tight. Weird. Adjust the elevation several clicks. Shoot the target. Bullseye. Sweet. This evening I take broadside shot on a doe and clean miss. Doe comes back out and I take a second shot. Clean miss and I mean tons of dust to the side of her. WTF!!!! Look closer at my scope and notice an o ring coming out of the forward glass. FML! Crappy way to end my hunting trip. Oh well. I’ve got 4 weeks to get it right before I come back down to Texas.

DON'T JOIN TACOMA WORLD!! JUST DON'T!
Finally pulled the trigger last weekend. This was not a buck I would have normally harvested but this guy had a huge baseball size growth on his back leg and could barley even walk.. Only time I saw him use all four legs was when I shot him. Not a bad cull buck for the TX hill country.. Would have been nice to see him next year but highly doubt he would have survived.
