I am definitely in the minority. Not a Pink Floyd fan. I respect their talents, and their impact. It’s not that I think they’re bad. They just don’t jive with me. :notsure:

Who else is thinking on wheeling after toys for tots? I’m 50 50 because I don’t want to splash around in the mud when I can’t do an under wash and my sliders aren’t on. I’d have to put them on and then take them back off. Still waiting to hear back from body shop to fix my rocker but almost definitely won’t be before the next few weeks.

I guess I like more songs that I cared to admit... I went through my Ipad and I have: Money, On the Turning Away, Comfortably Numb (really like some of the live versions they've done of that one), Another Brick in the Wall, Wish you were here, Have a Cigar, Welcome to Machine

Thanks for sharing. I would not have checked this out on my own, and there are things I like about it.

I played drums in a Pink Floyd cover band in my earlier years, even performed live "The Wall" in High School years... band was called Echoes.. I have every right in the world to despise Floyd. I should try and locate some video of those days, you guys would laugh. We were quite good- well, they were quite good, you don't exactly need to be a brilliant drummer to play most Pink Floyd and my bandmates made me look better than I was.

I can stomach a good bit of thier real deep tracks but anything you young whippersnappers would know I hate listening to.

I went to see Pink Floyd in 1994 at their Division Bell tour at Great Woods. I went Wednesday. By far...the greatest show I have EVER been to. I saw Pantera / White Zombie/ Deftones aug 1996 in Worcester at the Centrum and it was unbelievable but I would still take the Pink Floyd show over that one.....even.....dare I say....NIN and tool (may I be struck down for saying that) but its true.

Oh shit that Pantera show must have been awesome. I saw Floyd a few times as well, they do an amazing show to be fair.

Thanks, I liked that one! The guitar solo was a bit disappointing, but the rest of it was good.
Same here. I had one of their CDs in my younger years but was never a favorite. I liked the infamous Walk. That one was always just fun to listen to.

Pantera was amazing....and white zombie, back at that time....the energy was through the roof. They put up the hockey boards and the stage was on one end of the rink. The entire rink was a mosh pit. Dimebag was the man back then. Far beyond driven was 2 years old and the just came out with the great southern trendkill. I think my ears actually still ring a little 24 years later....

Yeah sadly I never saw Pantera.... NIN was a great show though as well as AC/DC. I miss going to festivals like Metalfest/tattoo the earth/Ozzfest in my younger years.

Really haven't been any other than Mayhem very recently. Worcester had NE Metal/Hardcore Fest, in 2013 that was a 3 day thing. Eventually became 2 days and then 1, I don't recall if they even had it the past couple of years prior.

Rock Revolution (think that was it) was held at Foxwoods one year and they were smart about it. 2 stages a 3 minute walk away from each other so you always had someone going but never had to choose between bands to listen to. Only happened one year with A7X, Ghost, Anthrax, Slayer..the second year it got cancelled, I suspect low ticket sales.

Damn... sucks to see shows like that not do well the following year. The last NE metal/hardcore fest I went to was the early/mid 2000's.

Not sure how the first one did but it seemed well attended. The second year the main bands were FFDP and Halestorm..both of whom I do like (though at the time I was boycotting FFDP getting anything from me) but the rest of the bands weren't of interest at all.

Festival or otherwise I go to 20 or more shows a year. Actually got to hang out with Kurt from DRI at the Metalfest one year
