Anyone know of a limited slip differential replacement for the factory elocker? I've literally never use the factory elocker, and I'm considering twin turbo'ing the truck (OVtune). An LSD would be infinitely more useful for what I use the truck for. Without any hopes of a "grey wire mod" for a third gen, if I'm going to replace the factory elocker with something, I would just as soon do an LSD over a locker replacement.

But, I'm having a hard time finding one. Anyone done this, or know of a replacement?

I think the 2WD Sport models get an Auto LSD rear axle.

Edit: Actually nvm. I don't think it's a true LSD, only brake actuated.

Nope, pretty sure you're gonna have to do an axle swap. Maybe eventually something comes, but I wouldn't hold my breath.

Correct. Even the OR and Pro models have it.

Auto LSD is a joke, hoping for an actual LSD.

That's what I was afraid of...
Are there any replacement locker solutions? At least I could actuate it whenever I wanted to, instead of being bound by 4lo.

A mechanical LSD hasn't been available in a Tacoma since around 2008 or 2009, maybe you can do an entire axle assembly swap.

Yessir. Options appear to be non-existent.
An axle swap sounds incredibly unappealing.

F it. If you’re going for it, swap in AWD setup form a 4 runner , LC or what have you. Full time 4wd seems better for traction vs rear wheel LSD traction on a pick up with no weight over the rear tires anyways.

Haven’t you ever been to the drag strip with your buddies propane injected twin turbo Cummins ? He pops it in 4wd so he can go forward

Is find a hot rod shop. They could fab a Ford 9”, any ratio, width, mounts, angles and your choice of a dozen plus LSDs or lockers

economies of scale, Ford 9” is probably cheaper than any customs O/R adaptation.
