Good lawdy that Umber Bronze ....liking the silver lip with the hyper black as well. Would love to see what it looks like on a Silver truck. Anyone have the silver lip with the black? Any pics of them installed?

So I’m curious. I put these on and the metal warped! Only 80lbs torque. Now they were powder coated matte black prior but that should not effect the wheel….I think I received a defective wheel. It should not be soft like this when putting in the 12x1.50 lug nuts. I think there was an issue with heat treating.
So now I’m out $2,800 and got some nice garage wall art.
But my question which I didn’t see asked was do you provide centric hub spacers or rings? Cause as these were being put on there was space and not provided with the wheels.

 

You shouldn't need hubcentric rings, usually when you torque down the lugs it'll sit fine. But as for the metal warping, that is super strange and hopefully they can work something out with you because that's some BS.

 

Did you have them powder coated or were they done by the factory?

 

I had them powder coated from a good shop. Sandblasted first and then powder coated. He doesn’t use a ceramic oven and his oven only heats to 400degrees max. He said they were done around 380degrees. No one has ever heard of powder coating causing this and I would assume at this temperature it would not compromise the metal to this degree.

 

well at this current time no one will take blame or replace or refund so I’m out the price of the wheels and powder coating. Roughly $2,800+

 

I am sure Advan or vendor will blame powder coating - and powder coating will blame wheel manufacturers- but heating metal could affect the heat treatment of the metal - I would call sensei 6 on Instagram they repair and refinish lots of Japanese wheels and they may have seen this before.
