What a nice commute, I’d be envious if I wasn’t currently working from home:rofl: The envy will kick in when they have us coming back into the office haha

Truly. I'm enjoying my 16 carpeted steps.

But not looking forward to the 65 mile round trip commute when we go back to the office.

Its good they are carpeted! If they were hardwood, I don't know how one would ever manage that ;)

Ooof, thats no fun. I'm being told we may end up working from home indefinitely, or maybe 90% of the time, and go into work one day a week or something of that effect. Fortunately with the new job if i do have to go in, I'll be going from a 70 mile round trip commute to a 40 mile round trip commute.

Side note, next batch of brackets has been placed today! I ordered twice the quantity of what I normally do for you awesome peeps! A little delayed, so apologies to those who have paid for non-stock brackets. I will keep those folks updated as the parts get manufactured!

Really really hoping to have my website up and running for this next batch to make this whole process more efficient for everyone :)

Still waiting on my winch mount, but in the meantime I'm probably going to add a dual battery. May have to move my switch over to clear the batteries.

Hmmm, when I get home I’ll check on that shipment. IIRC, I believe I shipped your kit out quite a while back. Hang tight...

No, I got my switch, I'm waiting on my mount from Warn. Switch is all mounted up just waiting on the winch mount so I can put the winch in the truck.

OH totally gleaned over that. Nice. Let me know how the dual battery setup works with the bracket, if it does! Have seen a few members attempt to install it with a dual battery setup and I don’t believe there is enough room. I would think it depends on the specific dual battery setup though.

Have you thought about getting a portable battery pack like the Jackery or Goal Zero?

I like the idea from @crossrifles of moving it over on the other side of the crossbeam. I was also considering a few other spots for relocation.
I have thought about it, but with running a winch and having a lot of lights that I'll be using with the RTT, awning, and bed rack for camping as well as being able to self-jump with a button push the dual battery is where I think I want to go.

my OCD, a little Gunk engine cleaner, bag the important electric stuff, a little spray of water to rinse. Hit it with the leaf blower to dry. Spray with Gunk engine detailer and hand wipe everything I can reach. Takes about 45 minutes or so.

I already have that stuff and just never used it. Maybe its time to make sure it isn't expired.

Definitely not a bad option! It does extend the length of hot wire to the switch, but it would still be slightly better than the full length of hot wire going to the winch, plus you'll still have full control of power going to the winch as well. Either way you can't go wrong!

And I certainly hear that. The convenience a dual battery setup would give you would definitely be unmatched in comparison. I think the complexity and cost of legitimate dual battery setup is what ended up steering me away from it and towards the Jackery but hey down the road its always still a possibility

Much more elaborate than my process, also probably why it looks 10X better  I do the ole hood pop, soap spray and soak, and pressure wash everything and call it a done day:)
