Doesn’t seem to me that it’s the new gun owners drying up the supply. It’s seems it’s the same people who typically hoard ammo all the time. Guys who have thousands upon thousands of rounds and feel the need more.

I’ve only been shooting twice this year. Once at the range during the beginning of this crap and once a couple weeks ago shooting some clays. Can’t find most ammo. Refuse to pay insane prices just to score a couple rounds. Can’t afford to deplete what little I do have. Probably could keep shooting clays as target loads are usually available and don’t seemed priced gouged, but that will just make me want to shoot the stuff that I can’t right now.

I have a G2C, and would like to get this “skin” for sale on Etsy. I don’t know how well it lasts or anything, but I like the look.

Sounds like me. I bought my 9mm G2C, and put one box of 50 rounds through it.

I save enough to ensure that we can go hunting for two seasons including sighting in. While we (3 boys/myself) have 8 different calibers, they were chosen to fill very specific roles. Normally I like to keep 2-3 boxes of 20 premium factory or developed hand loads. Admittedly I do have more 22 mag and 17 HMR but those for some reason seem to survive times like these, and those are split between me and my boys because those were the choices of calibers they were given for their second gun once they earned the right to move past the single shot Rossi 22lr. As far as pistols I used to go to the range and shoot 250 rounds in a couple of hours playing accuracy games or depending on the range drawing from concealed. That has been replaced with snap caps and laser rounds now. I have no need to hoard as long as I’m responsible with ammo management. I don’t know what the future holds, but regardless of what it is, I choose not to panic buy and honestly...for me personally...I could never take advantage of or profit off of another person’s needs or fear/s.

My crystal ball does not agree with your timeline. ;) Prices will come down whenever, but not to where they were coz manufacturers and distributors and LGS's know that some folks will pay a lot, A LOT of money for ammo. But, there will be bargains on for sale sites, coz Mr Hoarder speculated that prices will go even higher. Now, Mr Hoarder has to pay rent etc. Patience! It's the first shot that counts, the rest are just followup misses.

Ha! I hear you. But let me tell you I got rid of her, kept the old guy as a best friend, got my kids, house and land too. She got the boat, 2nd divorce, working on a 3rd and a brand new spec built home last May. Life is good...once I get be some dang ammo! :D

Personally.... I’ve always kept a supply of ammo on hand that I felt comfortable with. That’s always been a high number of rounds to some but I shoot most Monday’s (well... I did before all this madness). I’m not a hoarder but I have a lot of ammo. Since all this started I’ve sold quite a bit to friends in need, but never for a profit. Those I’ve sold to pay whatever I paid.
That said, I still go to the range every other Monday. However, I shoot a lot less and it’s mostly .22lr these days. Those days have become more about hanging out with friends than anything else.

    Working on that
Picked up the last three boxes in their inventory of Lehigh .45acp.
They now have zero to ship all across the caliber board.
    Sign of the times...

Scored 1600 browning 22lr for 99 bucks today. About 6 cents a round. Not the greatest but given the times I wasn’t gunna pass it up.

Getting to be about that time to stop deer hunting and start squirrel hunting for the next 3 months.
