I am thinking so. I do like my music loud as possible at times so I just want to make sure I'm getting the bang for my buck!

I would do the amp but its too much wiring and I'm likely going to sell this in the next few years. Upgrade.

Kicker hideaway has a built in amp for the sub only. I wouldn't mind adding an amp for the other speakers though even though the speakers are plenty loud without it. They do hit harder the higher they are turned up which shows me an amp will make them sound much better!

That is very interesting and something to look into. Didn't know they had the sub with amp included. I will probably get that later down the road, now I'm just focused on fixing that high pitch low quality sounds I'm still getting!

This is it for future reference. Pretty nice. Its nothing super insane but it adds a nice thump. If I were to do it again, I'd add a 10" one.

If you want tunes. Take everything from the factory out and dump it in the trash. Get yourself a nice head unit, amp, components and a sub. Install and enjoy

If you have the JBL speakers and amp, the Kickers are not the speakers to replace it with. JBL has 2 ohm speakers and the majority are 4 ohms including the Kickers. The volume will suffer. $.02

I replaced my speakers with in weeks of getting the truck too. I had seen the kicker thread in the audio section. I really like Kenwood but Crutchfield was out of stock on many brands due to Whuhan virus at the time. I did get the Subaru tweets from Amazon. I ended up going with Kicker DS series because even the CS were out of stock.
It was a good improvement and I'm glad I did it because it wasn't too expensive and sounds better than the wimpy stock speakers which you will see are a total joke if you remove yours.
I have on more thing to do with mine that is install the Sound Ordince powered sub from Crutchfield that I had in my old Liberty CRD. I had got a new amp install kit and a line converter I just need to find the best mounting location.

The Subaru tweeters are nice because it is a literal plug and play mod. Sure there are better options, but the fact that its a direct replacement and is better than OEM is the biggest appeal. Would people rave about it if you had to modify it for it to fit? Probably not.

I dont think its $100 worth it. I would hold out until you can find it for $80ish or lower. $20 bucks won't break the bank by any means. But we all want to get our moneys worth. The deals are out there. I found mine for $60.

I'll never understand why poeple only replace the tweeters.
