Can’t speak for the perst 4 but the perst 3+ is stupid bright with both the laser and illuminator.

 

Thanks I may just look into the Grendel or at building or buying an AR10 in 308. I need to finish this one first hell I haven’t had a chance to even shoot it yet. As I’m planning on upgrading the optics and as scarce as ammonia I figured I’d wait until the sight swap

 

My 6.5 Grendel. I highly recommend it. My favorite cartridge to shoot and this fun specifically is my favorite gun to take hunting.

 

I'm working on my 2nd LR308 build. My first was a budget build about 4-5 years ago, just looking at the cheapest parts available but still have an adjustable gas block and free float fore-end. It was well under 800, but is a heavy mother, especially with my Specwar 7.62 can on the end. The biggest surprise is it's also a tack driver with the cheap Radical Firearms 18" and Radical gas block on it.

After building a lightweight AR15 earlier this year (under 5lbs without sights/optics) I'm going for a LR308 under 7.5lbs

 

So far so good.

I prefer the footprint of the PEQ-15/ATPIAL

 

My local gun store got in a few radicals, and a few M&P sport 2's, stopping by after work. I think I like the radical over the Smith

 

LaRue make and sells the best stuff out there. Love that place when I lived in Austin

 

I've owned several radical 300BO and 5.56 uppers and had no issues with them. Some of their newer m-lok handguards are pretty nice.

 

Who got some 5.56 ammo to sell?

 

If you're serious, I might sell a couple boxes.

 

Radical got a bad wrap a couple of years ago and in all fairness some of it was well deserved. They have upped their quality control drastically and are now manufacturing most of their parts in house. I am anxious to get out and burn some rounds through it but will most likely wait until after I install the optics i actually want on it if I can wait that long, which I doubt.

 

Thanks every positive statement I read makes me feel better about the purchase. This one has the 15" M-lock handguard. Lots of available realestate to mount things but it will most likely only get a flashlight.

 

Sorry no pics. I ended up getting a Troy SPC A3 Carbine 16" in 5.56. LGS had several to choose from last evening, S&W, Radical, and a couple others. Will be swapping out the stock and grip in short order. I had a Daniel Defense stock on my last rifle and loved it, likely will do the same. Anyone have the DD pistol grip? wanting a more vertical grip, cant really tell from pics / specs if this is......I think it is.....

Ouch! At $500 over retail and $600 over normal street price, I think I'll still wait...

But thanks for the heads up, I sincerely appreciate it. I've been refreshing BCM, Rainier, PSA, and GunBroker compulsively while at work.
