I lose about 15-20 feet of visibility right in front of me when 4-wheeling...hate it.

Since there is no OR available in that configuration to compare it to l didnt put it, but it shows $34,520.

I’m not short and I already have a hard enough time seeing directly in front of me in the OR, especially when wheeling up a steep hill. I can’t imagine having the scoop there. I’m thinking about putting a front camera on the truck for that reason

Another point to consider is the OR comes with Goodyear all terrain tires that have much stiffer Kevlar reinforced sidewalls. This will also attribute to a harsher ride. My 2020 Sport is supposed to be 32psi all around and the dealer who did the PDI set them to 40psi. I was not getting great snow and ice traction and decreased them to 32psi which resulted in better traction as well as nice ride over bumps and dips.

Fair enough, I dug out my sticker: $34,520 probably why I thought it was lower cost, because it was, even though no comparable OR.

Point is, I am happy with my Sport and I am starting to see some defensive OR owners.:p

You guys want to rag on my ass, well yeah shit the 4.88s and lockers installed by a competent shop like Mule cost me some coin!:thumbsup::D

No reason for anyone to be defensive over anything, everyone buys whats best for them. Glad you are happy with your truck as am l, was simply pointing out that have the same price making the choice even more difficult.

I don’t get the glare off the scoop thing...
I’m 5’ 10” and my wife is 5’ 6” and neither of us have experienced any type of glare, off my midnight black metallic truck. What color was the truck you drove?

Sounds like you want the off-road, so get that and just add the scooped hood. Easy decision if you ask me. Should be easy to get a scooped hood if you offer your off-road hood and enough cash. Mark my words, every off-road you see you will be second guessing your sport and wishing you got an OR. Not because it’s a better truck but because it’s what you originally wanted. Trust me, everytime I see another 2012-2014 manual transmission regular cab 4x4 I wish I never sold mine.

Agree the Sport has "sport" suspension. But its not some fancy expensive suspension, just basic OEM stuff just like the Off-Road package suspension. So to your point, yes you are paying for the appearance of the Sport since the only other item is the Scooped hood. Where as the Off-Road actually has a rear locker and CC, which are functional.

Interesting, I’m glad you haven’t had an issue with it. It was a little while back but I test drove a cement and silver. The Cement wasn’t bad because it had the matte black around the hood scoop. Silver is what gave me the most glare

Mine's black but I guess the gloss finish is what was killing me with the glare. And I'm 5'7 and change depending on the shoes. Interesting that your wife is 5'6 and doesn't have glare. maybe it's that old Midwest Sun lol

to the basic OEM suspension comments, the off roads come with Bilstein 4600s. Nothing alright home about, but they're not half bad if you're not doing anything crazy.

The sports come with some kind of Hitachi shocks. Definitely firmer than the bill scenes on the off road. I believe however the springs are identical on both trucks. they might be identical on all trims which I think was mentioned earlier in this thread

note, the limited trim also comes with a stiffer shock not sure if it's Hitachi or a different brand. Haven't actually looked

many complain about that glare. black here too and sometimes its unreal. I've been thinking about plasti-dipping the whole center
    area of the hood.

Some of the hood graphic decal options look pretty slick.

yeah they do! I figured I'd go with the cheap dip and if worked out, then look into other options. My worry is the imperfections from from the dip and being seen everytime I jump in would make me nutty!
