I want to flash my 2018 MT truck back to stock (04A71) because it's going to the dealer tomorrow morning to get a new fuel pump.

I am running Toyota Flash Manager 1.04, config version 1.3.3.

When I attempt to download the stock tune, I get "Error downloading file ... sid_04A71_STOCK.p5f"

I have tried Help->Update but no joy.

 

Might have to contact @OVTune.
He took that feature off of Flash Manager for now.

If you download and install vf tuner it should have the stock file in it. Then just flash with vf

 

Hey Mat, @OVTune since I had to change laptops I’m unable to open vf tuner “linked” to my account. Is there a way to reset it to this laptop. You have sent me everything I need otherwise. I believe. I get this message.

Guessing it just needs to be reset on your end. Hope this is a easy fix for ya. And hope you have a good holiday sir!

You shouldn’t need to put the stock file on there for the fuel pump recall.

 

How long does it take to get credits unlocked once purchased? I bought 4 on Sunday and nothing has been updated on my account.

 

The worst that could happen at the dealer is that they flash you back to stock. You should be good to go and come out still OVTuned.

 

did you request them in vF tuner after you bought them?

 

Sure did. Even sent an email to request the tune pack for the ECU ID I plan to unlock.

I realize that the pump replacement probably doesn't involve any type of computer programming by the dealer. But I'd rather not take any risks.

 

Took mine about 2 weeks ago for the recall and it was tuned. Never said a word about it!

Live training will be done differently.
So it's already planned.
2021 we are going all out with VF Tuner. Training, patches for features, guides etc.
Training for fuel tuning, ignition, valve, etc.

Damn I love this thread... been MIA a few days and just got caught up since Nov 20th... OMG i'm so stoked about 4Runner support! My boss/bestie has my truck's T4R twin (both 2017 Pros) and he's about to shit his pantaloons. Def getting the Tune Pack for those too. And stocked about Tundra Tuning Packs too, since my first few tests tuning a Tundra have been very moderate improvements, since I don't have one myself to play with constantly and have to stay conservative. I honestly need to just swap trucks with duder for a week or so, so I can iterate quickly, but I think we're both hesitant about loaning out our babies to each other haha.

To this dude:

I asked Mat about this, since I've unlocked 3 Taco ECU IDs so far, and have the Tune Pack purchased for 04B04 (my truck)... UNFORTUNATELY, I assumed you'd get the 2.0 Tune packs for the other IDs you unlock as you go, but that is sadly not the case. All I have are the editable .vft 2.0 files for the ECU I bought, and I have (I can't remember where the hell I got them, can someone remind me?) the un-editable 2.0 tune files for the other ECUs... so I can potentially flash Mats 2.0 tune to other ECUs, but not edit them to customize them for the person.

@OVTune , I think that there should be some sort of program for people to get the 2.0 .vft files for other Taco ECUs we've unlocked, assuming we've already bought the Tune Pack at full-pop once. Plus, I'm about to drop some $$ on the Tune Packs for Tundras and 4Runners, so yeah, you'll be getting more and more of my money soon enough, amigo!

Do you know if this info is correct. You do not get the editable tune pack for each unlocked ECU that you pay for?
If it is, then you know this is some Bullshit!
