Came on the bike. I had 2.5 front/rear on my hard tail. We'll see if I miss any dampening characteristics but I doubt it.

Ha, I have a set in my backcountry cart as well, but I just bought a back tire from @ginseng27 so I guess I'll hold off till the reviews come in.

Yeah I am too. If I had a LBS that sold Vittoria I would’ve gone to them but they’re all maxxis. For online I’ll go to best price, but also will avoid a company if someone I trust has said to. I’m a fan girl of seths bike hacks so competitive cyclist it was. I also will support the big dogs like Amazon because they have the best offerings and ship times. :notsure:

Backcountry owns Steep and Cheap, Whiskey Militia, Bergfreunde, and Competitive Cyclist.

Plus they are the only folks I saw that had them in the sizes I wanted in stock, so beggars cant always be choosers.

True...I’m quite excited to go from 2.6 down to 2.4 on the front. I feel like my climbing will improve....but that’ll probably happen just from having a better tire too..

Yeah, My sentinel is a native 2.5f/2.4R so I'm on the fence of 2.6 or 2.4 for the front. As loose as UT gets, the bigger widths do help instill a little more confidence for me.

My 2.6 feels monstrous. A frickin bulldozer. I think it makes me a worse rider honestly. Or better because I go more places...however you look at it...

When I got my mid-fat with a 3.0 up front and a 2.8 in the rear I thought it was the shit. So much smoother and so much more traction. When that bike got trashed and I ordered the Yeti SB140 I was kind of disappointed about going down to a 2.6 front and rear. Now after riding the 2.6's, wider is not always better. But think the 2.6 is probably the happy medium. For my terrain.

Yeah, Pokey is pretty similar to SLC area riding. Mink Creek is a good surrogate for Park City, and the city trails are very similar to the network right next to my house.

    Never tried those grips.

As far as the pedals go, $80 is an odd spot. I feel like they are better than the composite pedal options, but I personally would spend the extra dough and get another pair of Deity Bladerunners which are my favorite pedals ever.
