Man I thought about repairing these but they're cheap aftermarket housings. They're garbage. Lesson learned....the hard way.

You can now put my old suspension and wheels to work. Okay, now that you moved across the U.S. and THEN did the 4x4 swap, I guess I'll have to meet you in the middle, Moab, 2021, and go wheeling. Even better you bring it back out here and wheel with me in CA. I'll take time off work if so.

Thanks, I've had the parts for a long time now, just not the time. Now to collect the bits for a hidden light bar and finish installing the aux horns

    "Fog Lights Anytime" mod today.

Pretty much exactly like ND4's mod (https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads...o-bending-100-reversible.309407/#post-7951551) but I used the taillight relay for the switched 12v.
I couldn't get a blade connector to fit in with the tail light relay, it probably would have, but I was too afraid to push hard enough from fear of breakage.
I just used some stranded wire and "fanned" it out. A bit of finessing and it's in there just fine and shows battery voltage when switched "on".

Now I have fog lights that go on and off with the rest of the front lights, I can just leave the button on.
Also, I can choose to have the fogs on or off in any position of the headlight control. (which is why I chose to use the taillight relay.)

If those are the 5110’s you will want to extend the bump stop some in order for them to not bottom out. I have the heavy duty Dakar’s and where the bump stop hits I installed a hockey puck and cycled it and it turned out to be the perfect amount before bottoming out.

Where did you get the fog light switch? I'm looking at the FJ Cruiser fog switch mod, but it's expensive and the one you have looks to have an indicator of when the fogs are on.

We tested out the $100 Amazon awning this past weekend. Seems to work pretty well. I could see it getting broken pretty easily though.
