I use motorcycle chain lube for mine, just between the contact points. It will need to be reapplied every time it rains or you run through water. Lube is just to keep the squeak to a minimum.

I didn't even think about that. I drove through the river a dozen times at Disney and my leaf packs are still quiet.

I don’t have any weight in the back, sometimes I load the truck down then it squeaks. There’s also a knob on the dash that gets rid of the noise, crank them tunes!!

While we are waiting for an update from @Patrick1916, here is my pandemic build progress pic.

Traded in the Taco on March 6th of this year, she was brutally wounded with a tire slashing on March 7th and thus began the mods with new wheels and tires. At this point all of the “must-dos” are taken care of so no more major upgrades planned, keyword planned.

Got caught up with some other stuff, just got my tools cobbled together from my housemates and neighbors and harbor freight, getting started tomorrow morning. Beautiful 4Runner man, that bronze on white and color matched bumper is sweet! Probably gonna paint my wheels bronze, my truck is Indigo Blue and it would be an eye catching combo.

Thanks man! I'll see how much progress I make tomorrow and how in over my head I am and let ya know tomorrow night (and ask you what your beer of choice is)

    #TransformationTuesday! Looks great!

I'm a couple weeks shy of 5 years with the truck. Kinda weird how the truck literally changed my life. New friends made and its taken me to some cool places and memorable camping trips.

Alright, I’ll play... top two were the day I bought the truck, Aug 6th, 2018, and the bottom two are the two most recent pictures I have of the truck. Bumpers and a new lift are next on my to do/wish list...

I was a HotRod and Car Craft subscriber myself. Always been a fan of the V8 rumble. If I could pull off having a Hotrod project right now I so would! My problem is that I really like way too many cars to know what it is that I want... It kinda depends on the day....

Ironically, there’s someone sneaking through town at the moment bouncing all 4 very angry cylinders off the limiter.....

Probably not. If so, definitely NOT the dobinsons. I hated that damn thing. I should’ve spent the extra money on the ARB. I’ll only get a snorkel if I go 35’s and I still don’t know if I want that headache. That may be something to do after graduation or med school.

I’m painting my caliraised sliders tomorrow, then installing Friday morning before heading to Bridgeport.
