if its any consolation the Brand name ARB feels the same way. does a decent job but it really can't handle much wind at all..
Edit. in fact that awning looks IDENTICAL to the arb in every way. Nice to know there is a cheaper replacement product out there!

 

Preformed a CMC on my taco and removed sway bar. No more rub! And it drives better without sway bar on and off road. I still need to clean up the welds with a grinder and spray paint it.

 

Been a while.. but I recently got my Switch Pros installed. Super stoked on that.



Install was super straight forward. I'm not super electrical savvy, but I just followed a Youtube tutorial. I used the Power Trays mount that incorporates the Deep Sea 6 fuse block.



Went in on the @SDHQ OFFROAD universal mount for the panel and it fit PERFECTLY on my center. I already had a cutout there for 4 switches I had previously, just had to drill 4 corner holes.



Finished product. Still waiting on vertical stickers, but it's so nice to have everything right there at my fingertips and the bluetooth connectivity is a game changer for lazy camping.

Upgrade the door speakers for sure and then I suggest getting a under the seat sub/amp combo. I have one and love it, freed up a crap load of space. Remove that back panel and you'll be in business

 

Awesome! What amp/sub combo are you running? I'm almost to removing the rear panel amd sound deadening everything. Not quite there yet.

 

Nice, super easy process. I rarely ever had people sit back there and if they did, they complained lol. Also, having extra room for the dogs and more storage was the kicker. So I deleted everything except for the belt side of the seatbelts. Belts and sound dampening are next on the list.

This is where I'm currently at with the delete. I bought a 3" rubber mat, trimmed it and mounted it with heavy duty velcro. The rubber mat covered up the metal nicely and softened the cab vent noise till I finish everything. I'm still going back and forth with removing the rear center console because I want to make a platform exactly like yours.



I bought a Rockville USS8 8" 600w Slim Under-Seat Sub+Amp and 6x9 Pioneer TS-G690 for the doors. I'm not into a crazy amount of bass anymore so the sound quality is perfect for me. The only negative thing I can say about the sub+amp is the low bass tones are non existent.

 

Had to tear apart the headlights again and redo them. The original shroud I bought was too short, and you could see the bare bulb from certain angles, causing glare. So I bought longer shrouds and decided to paint the entire inside of the housing Magnetic grey metallic to match the truck. I think it came out way better!

 

Came with the fog housings I bought. I didn't use their wiring harness since my 09 came wired. In order to make it work I had to make some adjustments. It is lit when the lights are off to remind me I can turn them on, it is off when the lights are on.

I’ve always liked those wheels, just hated having to polish the ones I had 3-4 times a year!

Just remember you get what you pay for. ARB has been making these for years and have done a lot of R&D on them and they stand by their products. The first time I used my awning, not sure if my gf ran into it or what but one of the poles bent and I couldn't get it to go back in. I emailed ARB and they sent me a brand new leg within a week. No questions asked. Also if you guy the awning out and stake in down they can handle a lot more wind then youd think.

 

I maybe got the same awning? Has done pretty well on multiple occasions.
