After watching this thread for a few months I finally pulled the trigger and upgraded my stock 2020 TRD Sport wheels and tires to:

265/70r17 115T General Grabber ATx with TRD pro 4Runner wheels. I couldn’t be happier. No rubbing and has the look I wanted! Thanks all!

Update... after driving around all weekend on this setup I did notice a small amount of rub when wheel fully turned.

Could you post a long shot pic of your tacoma? I also have a black DBLB and want the same set up as you. I'm undecided on the grey wheels or black.

I too was undecided for a while but the graphite wheels with the black truck is a really nice contrast in my opinion.

You aren't kidding! That's a great set up. I can't find matte black wheels from a local dealer, only replicas. I did find a dealer with the grey wheels.

Few more days when I get a chance to get the tires to the shop. Here is a size comparison. Granted they aren't mounted and filled yet. Should look good when done.

Update on the 265/70r17. They do rub with the TRD Pro SEMA rims +4mm offset and Wildpeak tires. Its minimal and looks like I can resolve with trimming or removing the mud flaps. The picture below is parked at almost full lock.20201005_143640.jpg 20201005_143849.jpg 20201005_144159.jpg

Removed them and trimming to get rid of the rub. Just showed for those looking to size up.

How you liking the ATX Grabbers?
My last SR 2020 had Wildpeaks and I liked them.
When I traded it and got my OR, I purchased the ATX Grabbers. They are quiet and I feel like the ride is softer too. Then again, probably because my OR now has a little better shocks than the SR.
Only thing, I missed- I like the look of the Wildpeaks sidewall better

I love em. The ride is smooth and the grip feels better on wet roads than the stock tires for sure. Looking forward to some snow now. I think they look great too. For the price they can’t be beat in my opinion.

Yea I got an extra $100 rebate from discount tires. Just got mine last week. Waiting for get some rain to see how they’ll do on wet roads. Not much snow to worry about here in Central Texas

Been trying to pull what I can from this thread. The net of all this seems like 265/70r17's are doable at stock, but expect some rub depending on what your offset is? Is that right?

I've got my heart set on the tire size, just trying to find a wheel that will get me closer to stock offset so I can minimize rub. Wondering how close I'll get at 0 offset.

Depwnding on the tire 0 offset will rub if you have mud flaps. More aggressive the tread the more likely it will. Easily repairable with heating the flaps and reshaping them. Without mudlaps a 0 offset won't rub.
Here's my pic with the flaps on with +4 offset and tires at almost full lock. I took my mudflaps off and no issue anymore

I have 265/70R17 Ridge Grapplers on SEMA wheels +4 offset with zero rubbing on stock 2020 OR suspension. Couldn't be happier with how it turned out. I did a lot of reading into this before pulling the trigger and from what I have found it seems to be the mud flaps as the main culprit, however my truck never had mud flaps so I cannot confirm that. Best of luck with whatever you decide on.

Same setup doesn’t rub with rokblokz or similar mud flaps.

Awesome, thanks everyone. I doubt anyone here would be able to speak to this, but wondering if having a Gen 2 would make a difference here or not, seems like most have a Gen 3.. Looking online, seems like the answer is no.

Looking like I'll pull the trigger here soon on 17's and Terra Grapplers.
