    The margins between what used to be economy/midlevel vehicles and luxury is getting smaller and smaller. Looking at a new camry interior, it's pretty impressive to see what you get for the money. I'm convinced luxury automakers are having to justify the margin elsewhere in complicated design and infotainment systems that have 3D images and interior gimmicky bits. Not saying they're not still better in many ways compared to "cheaper" brands, but the quality leap is not what it used to be. Possibly why Mercedes, BMW, Audi, Bentley, Lamborghini, etc started going to massively overpowered soccermobiles. People like the idea of a family hauler that will outrun just about everything else on the road. I think they're disgusting, but that's just my opinion, and apparently not the popular one given the current trends. We live in a funny world. I'm leaving out hypercar and major supercar brands because at some point they don't have to compete with anyone because people would buy a cardboard box for $5000 if it was labeled Pagani (although the craftsmanship in those cars is unbelievable)

    If TL DR. Quality gaps change as do popular opinions. Wants/needs. I'm mentally retired. #ConfusedHo
