Got lucky today. Walked in a little liquor store near my house to browse. When I was done looking around, I, almost jokingly, said, "Have yall gotten in any Pappy in lately?" To my utter shock, the guy said, "Yeah, I got a bottle of 12 back here." I could not get the $145 out of my pocket fast enough.

I’d love to try a bottle, but will probably never find one.

Dipping into the good stuff tonight. Seller accepted the offer I put down on a new house and I can breathe a sigh of relief.

Guess my next shelf will have to be in the shape of Idaho. Given enough time, I may move around enough to make all 50 states into whiskey shelves

Okay, back to drinking responsibly. No more glens were harmed in the process of making this photograph.

Ouch! I broke my glencairin I got at Willett Distillery about a month after I got it. Turned too fast, bumped it with my elbow, and watched it fall to the ground in slow motion.
I guess it's an excuse to go back to Kentucky and tour some more distilleries

Congrats, good luck in escrow! I've been condo hunting here in SoCal for about 3 months now. Denied on 5 bids. All 5+% over asking, 20% down, 3% good faith deposit within 72 hours of offer acceptance, short inspection window, 2 week escrow. And that's not even close to being competitive in this market down here :pout:

YIKES! That's terrible, about what my wife was experiencing around Houston after hurricane Harvey. Seems like we both could use some good luck!

The house I'm trying to get is next door to a buddy of mine. We got to check it out before the listing went live which helped us get our offer in first. That's probably the only way we could secure it given the crazy markets.
