I've owned both. My first was a cheapy from Amazon. It was okay. The last time out I noticed there were several spots where it was worn thin (after opening and closing it less than a dozen times total) and water was seeping through the thin spots (at a fast drip). I recently got an ARB and not only does the outer cover feel a little beefier, the fabric of the awning fabric itself seems to be a bit more heavy duty/durable. It could be my first one was the cheapest of the cheap in terms of quality, but I only saved about $80 vs the ARB.

Pretty much. The cheap one had some burs/rough cuts (which probably explains the excess wear), but the ARB is better finished.

Does it offer Apple Car play and does the steering wheel controls work with it? BTW, what size is the screen? Looks like a perfect fit.

Anyone try this instead of a scan gauge? Price is a lot lower and it seems to have a lot of displays and functions. Just came across it, its looks kind of cheap but for the price thinking it might be worth a try unless someone else has already.

What does everyone use for their fading plastics? I just noticed my mirror pieces are fading pretty bad now, and my pop-n-lock tailgate handle is really bad.

Was just looking at this deck this morning. How do you like it so far? Easy install? You'll notice a big difference again when you change OEM speakers out.

Drove it to work after being on two weeks house arrest (someone I work with tested positive so I had to stay home for some reason).

I did pick up my snorkel (it got delivered to work while I was home). It's a Dobinson's, the template is incorrect

My front windows were bare so I got some 35% tint put on today too. 35% is the darkest you go in NC and stay legal.

Yes it has apple carplay and the steering controls work great with some additional wire harnesses. As for the screen size I dont know but it does fit perfectly with the aftermarket surround that I have

I've heard that a heat gun can restore faded plastic. I plan to give my tailgate handle a try this weekend. I'll grab a before and after pic to let you know.

A heat gun will but it will be very temporary. You're pulling the oils back to the surface, giving it a black sheen, but it's degrading the plastic.

Mother's Back to Black works fine, I personally used it before I moved on to Meguiar's Plastic Restorer. The only true way to get back to no maintenance black is to replace the plastic with new.

I use this and it works great, you will need to apply a second coat for really faded areas. I used it recently on my company's F-150 basic with lots of plastic work truck and it did a great job

What does the 7.5 acc fuse power under the dash? Would i be ok tapping into that for my front camera? What size fuse should I put in the additional slot in the AAF?

Stubby Antenna, (zoom in). 2020 TRD pro front struts, with rough country leveling kit, 3" block in the rear which my too short factory shocks are keeping the rear at a level I like. (Will get new rear shocks and machine the block to half the size eventually). Also Factory fog lights.PXL_20201125_211100353~2.jpg

Awesome! Test rode it to work and it seems great! I’m eventually gonna add a leaf or block 1-2” so it should be perfect
