Hey all - been a while since my last post.

I'm coming up on the 36k warranty on my 2020 TRD OR LB Cement...yeah I know, a lot of acronyms. About two months ago I started to notice two noises, both separate. Any help is appreciated as the dealer "could not replicate".

    1. When going over speed bumps, occasionally I hear a noise that almost sounds like a bump/metal bind from the front suspension. Trying to get a video but the noise never happens when I think to...

    2. Occasionally, there is a tick/tap that is noticeable in the cab and in the engine bay. I cannot pinpoint it but it sounds like its coming from the lower rear of the engine. It's not a consistent noise so likely not driveshaft or anything like that. I have a video of that attached.

    Thanks, all, and happy Thanksgiving!

    Marc

My truck clanks too when I go over speed bumps sometimes. Not even fast. Also curious to know.

The tick could be the belt or one of the lower spindles?

Dealer tried to blame it on the trailer hitch even though I know the noise comes from the front... :(

Maybe, but I doubt it. It's not a constant noise, very random intervals. Like no constant tempo to it that you'd expect from most drivetrain items.

Have you tried sliding under your truck while it's on to get a better listen?

Yup, and there's too much in the way to pinpoint it. Might be I may just need to take it back to the dealer but I have to pretty much hope and pray that the noise is happening then!!

My engine has been squeaking like CRAZY since 20k miles. I've mentioned it to my dealer on every visit but cant replicate it of course at the time of service. At 40k now and it finally happened on a day I was free, took it straight to the dealer and was immediately told it was the belt. They're honoring the service out of warranty because I complained about it for so long.

Check the front skid plate for the first noise. I had one loose bolt after an oil change that gave me a similar noise
