ive never re-wrapped my tats, always had it coated in a good layer of aquaphor, if i rubbed off in my sleep, i was sure to immediately re-apply when i woke up...after it started to peel i started using the unscented lotion very frequently

but tat looks good man, get those colors filled in!
i can never think of anything for any new tats for myself, did you come up with that design yourself?

You should be fine with a good layer of aquaphor. Just reapply it throughout your shift. And besides, how messed up can it get from laying in your recliner and watching TV all shift?!

    :crapstorm:

I KID!!!! Can you guess what I do for a living :D

just keep it moisturized as much as possible...i noticed with my skin that its not that sensitive to needing to be moisturized 24/7, i was unable to moisturize mine because i was stuck in a boat for 8 hours for a security zone, i also wear long sleeves, got back home, showered and put the aquaphor on, the skin felt dry, but it didnt mess the tattoo up

Hahah, just a friendly brother in blue. We have a great relationship with our fire guys out here. So that means always giving the other some shit. :poking: That recliner always looks extremely comfortable! Stay safe out there!

dont have any pics on this comp, but i got one that is like thorns that run on my upper arm to my chest, with it looking like the thorns are traveling under the skin

and my other is a pretty long poem stretching across my ribs:

I HAVE a rendezvous with Death
    At some disputed barricade,
It may be he shall take my hand
And lead me into his dark land
And close my eyes and quench my breath
I have a rendezvous with Death
On some scarred slope of battered hill,

God knows 'twere better to be deep
Pillowed in silk and scented down,
Where love throbs out in blissful sleep,
Pulse nigh to pulse, and breath to breath,
But I've a rendezvous with Death
And I to my pledged word am true,
I shall not fail that rendezvous

its a poem by Alan Seeger, i condensed it down to read what you see here, the original is about twice as long

yea, the ribs hurt like a mfer though...i dont smoke, but i found that a cigarette helps take the edge off :)

the sleeves sound great, ive been wanting one for awhile, just dont know what i want, a few of my boys have some pretty awesome themes going on theirs..

one has poseidon on his shoulder/upper arm, lower-upper arm to elbow he has the sea and sea creatures, and below that working its way down to his wrist eventually he is going to have the sea floor, with maybe some shipwrecks and under that some skeletons that are under the earth....
