Took Rosie back to the shop that did the work and they put in more of the friction additive (they acknowledged that they didn’t put in enough). She is quiet as a mouse now. No more shudder.

My truck is all stock, currently on the stock Goodyear rubber from the TRD. How capable are those tires? I had some winter rated Nokians on there before that did very well in the snow. Just curious if the GY would be able to do anything like Fordyce (or however it is spelled).

All stock? Yea man, stay away from fordyce till you get sliders and skids. Fordyce is harder than the rubicon. If you do go play in the snow, air down to 10-15 psi for more traction. Are your GY tires AT or MT?

I’m pretty sure they are the ATs. Most off-road I have done is a maintained fire road or like Prairie City type stuff. Light duty off-road at best.

PC os fun because you make it easy, or you can make it hard. They got some nasty obstacles. I would like to arrange a pc bbq. Wheel, bbq, and good beverages.

Was trying to make it out to long lake but the road isnt maintained past a certain point. There were a few tracks but wasn’t going to attempt solo. Messed around in the soda springs area and found a logging road with some Jeeps

It was pretty hard and Icy in most spots. I actually got stuck while turning around, just spinning all four on a icy patch

if you visit the el dorado national tree service, they’ll give you a map where you are legally allowed to cut your own tree

anyone know of any good, trustworthy mechanics in the Sac area? In rancho, I think I have some major engine issue and would like to get it diagnosed. Would have to tow it because of how bad it is, most likely. So if I'm spending the $$ for a tow, I don't wanna take it to a bad mechanic. appreciate the help.

here is the link to the boundaries and forest where you can cut.

i know a few... but if you’re looking to pay big bucks, I don’t roll that way. I’ve found that the cheaper guys know just as much and can often do it for less. You just have to find a good cheaper guy. Almost any multi location shop can help you and give a warranty

I use the BMR Napa in Roseville. They did a great job on the tranny swap when my aunt grenaded it. Haven’t had any issues with the trans in 40k miles. They do all the work I can’t at my apartment.
