My dentist buddy that also has an RS6 (he changed the entire suspension, ECU chipped to 550hp, sways, etc.) as one of these.
I asked WTF are you doing with such a "cutsie" car?
He was like -"it's cute and reminds me of my first car"
    He also had a 1969 XR7 Eliminator and 1969 Bronco with a stroked 351 on 37" and 6" lift.

It must suck to be rich...

The term shoebox was used to describe a lot of different makes in the fifties. It had to do with when they went to a more slabsided design. Fords from 49-51 are called shoebox Fords because of the drastic departure from the 46-48 design. If you look at the 54 Chevy, they had a bit of a bulge on the rear fenders, reminiscent of the earlier models that had bolt on fenders. The 55s were pretty sleek in comparison.

The 1955, 56 & 57 Chevys were called that because of their body shape. As beautiful as they are they are about as aerodynamic as a shoebox. Pretty old coined phrase going way back.

    Yep

    He had/made it GRAVY!

His dental office was just outside of Miramar "Fighter Town, USA".
He accepted Champus - military insurance (I think its called Champus, not sure anymore).
He worked on the weekends and late hours, so that patients could be seen outside that 8-5 bankers hours window.

A good car does not make you a good driver. So many guys with high dollar cars around here and plenty of stupid accidents.

That Demon with the original 340 emblems. LOL
That thing is running a HEMI or a 440 punched out. It’s got a Dana rear end. Serious power to be doing a wheel stand like that.

The bottom one looks like a Dana. The '340' car in the top pic appears to have an 8 3/4 to me. It is running NHRA 'Stock' Eliminator D/SA class (11.55 index), so I wouldn't be surprised if it is actually a small block.
