All future orders are on hold.
No, there isn’t a patent infringement issue.

Ok so here is my situation. My local plastic and sheet metal supply can make these but its cheaper if I order a bunch of them due to minimum material order. (Don't have an exact price yet)

I want to get them and do a group buy situation but I see a few tacoma world members have done this in the past and I don't want to be stepping on anyone's toes or taking thier business.

    Thoughts anyone??

I mean this is literally a thread where a guy was organizing group buys through a fabricator he was working with. Maybe you two could work something out.

Sorry, I thought you were initially asking if I was somehow infringing on the MOLLE copyright myself. These designs are my intellectual property and I would consider it “stepping on toes” to pursue this. I will most likely start up the group buys again after the new year.

Yep makes sense. I was initially referring to the original MOLLE system patent as it calls out the use of a very similar system as thier intellectual property.

Hopefully these can get back to production soon!

I’ve updated the title to the thread, and I’ll provided updates for future orders soon. There will be some price changes, but hopefully nothing too drastic.

Sounds good, have you tried a plastic version?

I personally haven't. I would be concerned with the durability, depending on how you you or abuse your setup, and what the weight one would hang off of it.

I could see some high end polymers working, but then we get into the issue of cost and manufacture....

Deff like the ones we have now :D

    mods? not enough!
Could you design a molle system that would fit with a DECKED in the bed of the truck?...I know there is not much space between the rail and DECKED but a strip of molle panels would be nice to have on top of the DECKED.

There are plenty of bedside molle panels. I'm willing to bet you could either make one work with the deck system or cut one to make it work with the deck system

in the past 5 years, I think I’ve only had two customers with the decked system. The best way is to trim it. Being the panel is made out of aluminum, it’s very easy to cut. It can be done as a custom design on my end, but it would end up costing more that way.

I've seen a Victory one that bolts behind the rail that might work because there is a small space between the DECKED and the bed of the truck...If not I could take down to a machine shop and have it cut.

I have the Victory one. It's excellent, very unobtrusive.

This reminds me of an issue. The DECKED system leaves a gap around the edge, adjacent to the bed of the truck (about 1/2) inch. While this is convenient for those wanting to add rigid MOLLE, it is a pain in general. Any suggestions for a moulding or something that would fill the gap? I asked the DECKED guys but they did not have an answer.

Should we expect an update on GB 23 next year too?

Ahhhh shit, looks like I'm late to the party.
I haven't dedicated a TON of time to reading through ALL the pages of some of the rear seat molle threads, but docloco, you sound frustrated and not willing to do more of these panels, eh?
Too late to get in on the GB 23?
