I'm kinda opposite of a couple of you guys. I ride 90% of the time with others, whether its 1,2 or 5,6. I find myself pushing harder and riding faster cause there will be someone to call for help or pick up the pieces, lol. I know, sort of asinine but when I'm by myself I reign it in a little and ride about 85-90% just because there's no one to help out if things go wrong.

I’m this way too. If I ride by myself it feels more like training and I’m not motivated as much. If I’m with friends it’s fun and competitive and I push myself harder too

Looks like a fun flow downhill. One way climb up? Shuttle? Backside climb and a loop?

Fun times on the SJT yesterday. Buddy riding a really old bike lost the end cap to his skewer mid ride and also got a flat. Zip ties saved the day and he was able to make it down.

This trail is one way and has loops to get you up or you can shuttle it. We shuttled it that day to take it easy on my buddy who was not acclimated to the elevation.

Serviced the shocks for the first time since buying the bike a year ago. Check out how much grease is on the air cartridge. This allowed me to go from 75psi to almost 85psi in order to set the correct sag.

DPX2? Did you change out a volume spacer as well. I’ve got the same shock and plan on doing that soon. I’ve got the spacers, just need the motivation. Pretty simple shock to work on. What exactly entailed servicing it?

Fun trail, I’ve only ridden it a couple of times many years ago. I know it’s a very busy popular trail, I imagine today on Turkey day that was a big issue.

This is just the DPS. I was expecting the rear to be filthy and for the fork to be clean but it was the opposite. It was remarkably easy as long as you got a vice. No special tools for the rear. Highly recommend the Fox fork seal tool though.

we rode yesterday. Only ran into 5 other riders on the trail. It’s a fun one.

I’ve never done suspension servicing myself (would like to at some point). But I feel like I’ve read that fox forks can often benefit from a lower servicing even brand new due to excessive grease build up in the air shaft from the factory.

    not enough.
love both those trails. Jacob's Ladder is definitely one of my favorites especially because it's right in my backyard basically.

That’s no myth. They overload the sh*t of it with grease. Enough to make a 5-10psi difference.

I know this is old post but I just bought the mount to do the same thing with my cover. Would you do it again?

Got lucky on that one. Have you ever counted how many switchbacks there are?
