should be able to use the stock one, if your new bars are not too tall. How much over stock are they? With Sportsters, I had 3-4" of slack for the electrics and throttle cables. If you go over that, then you will need new cables. Are you getting new brake lines too?

My bars don’t require anything but extended internal cables.

from what I’ve seen. Here is a video of them.

@J_Anthony_ something I’ve learned over the decades with Harleys. Be careful with trying to use fat designer grips. They may feel great in your hand but the larger diameter interferes with the clutch lever travel. You end up loosing that last little bit of lever travel and the clutch drags at idol just enough to make finding neutral a pain.

    Here’s a little update.

pretty straight forward. Propped up the tank, disconnected inner wires, and have the bars ready to come off.

taking a break.. because my family is mad I’m working on my bike.

    Haha.

    Happy Thanksgiving

thanks to everyone for all the advice !

:bananadead:I kid you not. This stuff only happens to me.

lol. So I checked my bars when they were delivered. They were wrapped like crazy with plastic / foam. I cut into them and saw black. So I thought. Perfect.

Just opened them fully last night to find out the “black” was actually just another protective cover and that in fact.

    The bars are chrome.

    o_Oo_Oo_O

RIP to any riding this weekend.

however I do kinda like the chrome bars... and I’m trying to see if I can make them work. :angrygirl:

    “Chrome is the new black”.

Love that color scheme/panel design! Yeah, I might be a little biased...

But, seriously, I think the F4i "look" holds up really well and I've been pleasantly surprised at the number of folks who will ask me about mine, then give their "shocked" face when I tell 'em it is a 2006 with almost 30,000 miles on her...

Whoops, Bryan not Chris ahaha, my bad.

Yeah, not saying he didn't deserve it, rules are pretty clear, then especially when he made dupe accounts multiple times too.
