Have you measured your cut off height vs the height of your fogs? Those fogs are really low, and the cut off looks like it is potentially higher than the fog height, meaning they are not aimed with a downward angle. But it is hard to tell in the photos. Also, what is that center block of light in the first photos? It doesn't appear to be coming from the fogs.

I haven’t aligned on this vehicle, no. I suspect the extra light is from the DRL which I’m not sure is easy to disable. I can read up on that though.

I tinkered with the alignment some after the photos. I can get them a fair bit lower but then they feel like rock lights. In the last photo you can see they hit considerably lower than the low beams. Of course I have no confidence my low beams are aimed properly.

NOTE that my driveway is considerably sloped both up (to the doors) and sideways (left is lower). It’s enough that we get tickets for not curbing wheels once in a while. I wasn’t confident driving with low beams disconnected but I could go to a different spot to get better photos on more level ground. But not sure anyway cares about alignment of minivan lights, I think people mostly want to see the MAX light show.

For disabling the DRL, sometimes it is easier to go super low tech and just throw something opaque over them. Black trash bag, heavy towel, ect. With vehicles that are really low, the fog performance is certainly more challenging as aiming too low makes them practically useless, but too high is still blinding.

so is the SS C2 yellow a 3000k LED with a yellow filter? So i could swap the yellow light to a clean lens just like you could on an SS3 pod for the nice 4000k color?

Answered my own question. Yes the Yellow pods are 4000k emitters.

they don't offer SAE fog pods so they don't belong here

off road lighting? id say "Meh" compared to Diode Dynamics highly efficient optic system if we are comparing prices

What's proven here is DD's optic system.

We've all seen reflector type systems for pods like you've posted here. so now all we have here to compare is price, build quality, and maybe reputation.

Their optics technology shown on the site is very dated. I don't see any SAE offerings presently. If they are developing an SAE light it will be interesting to compare but they are going to need to bring far more technology to the table to be competitive.

Will do. Appreciate your knowledge. It’s nice to have actual science and testing behind recommendations in this community. That’s why I reached out. Thanks again.

Light bar, not exactly. But I have been building up my SAE J581 lights for a aux high beam light comparison thread to post very soon. I've been sharing periodic posts in the 3rd gen headlight thread like this one from earlier today. It will be a more dedicated place to discuss technical details of distance lighting needs.

I’m looking forward to this thread. Mainly curious to see how the KC Gravity Pro 6 LED pods stack up against the competition.

Wanna measure the output on a DD stage series light bar? Ordered two more driving lens after of our conversation.

Haven’t mounted it yet so I can swing by to drop it off when I get back in town

Appreciate the offer but a 40"+ bar is pretty out of scope for the thread. I won't have any meaningful data to draw comparisons too.

Would you consider adding any ARB Intensity lights to the testing lineup, or are they not available in a SAE J581 pattern? My own research on the topic has been inconclusive.
