My buddy works for Chevron. He told me Chevron distributes to Costco without the the Techron formula. Costco has their own gasoline mixture.

I live in Washington 3 miles from Idaho. I save 50 cents a gallon. On a 20 gallon fillup it really adds up fast

I live about 10 miles from the Ohio border. The gas can be 40 cents per gallon cheaper at times. At that price it is worth the trip to the nearest town (about 13 miles) if I need a fill up.

Ohio just raised gas taxes this year too, but as a trade off the front license plates got eliminated.

Because any extra additives cost $$$, ethanol is a cheap substitute

Thank you but that list is not accurate. Trust me, if I were to sell say organic bread...don't you think I'd advertise it as such...no where on the Canadian gas stations on that list you see anything that even remotely hints at the fact that it doesn't contain ethanol...sorry but I'm not buying it!, why does Shell displays it then?...

I would not mind this. I detest the front plate and not one to overly care about precious gas mileage or gas prices [I prefer to have fun]. It is what it is and I know I'm in the minority.

They were actually mulling over eliminating them here in Ontario to save the province some money.. but the piggies got all butthurt about it. It's a police 'state'.

Do your own test in that case. Advertising costs money. Most of the general public does not care.. or even know.. what they are putting into their stuff.
I've tested Shell 91 - and no ethanol - it's the only fuel I put into my carbed motorcycles.

I don't work for Shell (specially a saudi firm...some say Dutch ) but for years I have been using ethanol free gasoline with great success. I use it it in everything...including lawnmower, pressure washer, outboards and ofcourse all the vehicles...yes, all 5 of them:thumbsup:.

I don’t give rip if you shell out for monthly oil changes and high dollar fuel.

I don't know if they raised PA's gas tax again. I just did a Google search. The Shell station 1 1/2 miles from my home is selling 87 octane for $2.50/gallon. The BP in Ohio, about 13 miles away, has it for $1.82. That's a huge difference. Of course, then I get into the whole ethanol vs. non ethanol debate.

I pretty much only fill up at Costco. Only a mile from my house and it's $0.20 cheaper per gallon on average.

That site is user submitted, it's only as accurate and complete as those using it are willing to update. Most gas stations in the US have stickers on the pump to advertise E0 fuel for the boating and small engine crowd. If you look at the logs of the updates, many people used the $3 water absorption bottle to verify it is indeed E0.

In Canada fuel prices are way higher.....Costco is consistently 10 cents a liter cheaper than anywhere else. Quality is fine. Worst part is during the afternoon you can wait 15 minutes to get gas due to the lines.

I envy you guys with prices at sub $2 a gallon, here in the bay area in CA, Costco 87 cost $2.79, if you go to a regular Shell or Chervon, 87 cost anywhere between $3.5 to $3.8 a gallon. Making a trip to Costco is definitely worth it for me.
