Ended up behind a Chevy Corsica on the way home from my friend’s house!

 

Ugh, my neck hurts just thinking about one, the seats were soooo uncomfortable in that one l got as a rental.

 

Probably would have been more tolerable drive if it had A/C!

 

I cant remember what equipment it had outside of an AM Radio and uncomfortable seats, lol.

 

@PennSilverTaco Sitting here thinking of that experience, almost positive that it was a V6 but that would be odd to have the upgraded engine but still only an AM Radio. The reason l think it was a V6 was because it had awful mileage over that 1100 mile trip. Had to make the exact same trip again but insisted the rental agency give me something else. They gave me a Quad4 Oldsmobile and besides being way more comfortable it also got way better gas mileage.

 

Driving around Peddler’s Village again with the truck all lit up, and stopped to use the porta-potty; Place is a mother-effing mob scene and I’m glad I’m otherwise staying in the truck!

I can’t believe that a 1995-1996 model car would only have an AM radio, and even more so that it wouldn’t have A/C!

Also, that car couldn’t have been that bad; I’ve know people who had Corsicas, but they were loaded examples with plusher upholstery and power everything.

The Chevy Beretta was essentially sportier, 2-door Corsica; I see those at car shows from time to time and the people who own them love them!

 

And while we're talking about the Chevy Corsica, here's another round of "Teachers and other school faculty and staff who really made an impression on me!"

I've talked about Terry Potter before; She was the school psychologist at Oak Harbor Middle School, and I had quite a close bond with her during the two years I went to that school (2000-2002); I remember her name because it is similar to that of a famous fictional British wizard. I was even on a first name basis with her! Anyway, during the time I went to school there, she had a red 1996 Chevrolet Corsica.

@shakerhood It definitely had an AM/FM cassette and not just an AM radio like the turd you rented; It also had A/C, cruise control, and tilt steering, but it did not have power windows. If I remember correctly, this car was a gift to Terry from a relative; They paid cash for it and just gave it to her, so it was HERS. No payments or anything! When you are a public employee with a mortgage to pay, any FREE car (especially if it has air-conditioning) is a GOOD car! Terry took me and a few other students to see the live action version of The Grinch (Jim Carrey and Taylor Momsen) in December 2000; In 2002, she bought me the PC version of 4x4 Evo for my birthday!

Just an all around nice person...

 

I don't know about AC, but it only had an AM Radio and extremely uncomfortable seats.

 

In early 2002, we still had the aging Window 95 machine, and it could not run 4x4 Evo; After we moved to Northern Virginia that summer, my parents bought a Dell desktop with Windows XP and had that machine for another five years. My dad bought an HP desktop in 2007, and it lasted I'd say good seven years before abruptly dying. We have not had a desktop computer in the house since about 2015, because my parents and I all have our own laptops.
