Hey gang, I’ve been watching these a long time and finally got enough money to buy a set of these but now everywhere online they’re out of stock!

I’ve tried k2, spec-d, protuninglabs, extremeterrain, carid, eBay, Amazon, etc.

Question: Does anybody know where I can buy a set of the matte black?

I've tried a lot of different LED bulbs in these headlights to try and figure out which work best. most suck, but I found these to give off a good light spread with no dark spots, and the headlights have a built in cutoff that make them easy to adjust so you don't blind other drivers.

really any of the led bulbs that have chips all around the head will work. the ones that have 2 sides end up leaving large dark spots in the beam pattern.

Thanks for the info. Are you using these in stock housings? Just worried about blinding people.

No...they're going in aftermarket headlight housings that this thread is about. see my profile pic. no clue if you'll blind people using these in stock housings, never put LED's in those.

Hey I just installed those headlights and bought those bulbs are they just plug and play or do you need a harness to run them properly?

So I bought these about a year ago and just installed them. This isn’t the greatest picture but I feel like there’s a drop down on the left side of the pattern and I can’t adjust it at all. Is that typical so you don’t blind oncoming traffic? Or am I crazy

The step is normal. How do you like the light output?

I love it. I wish I would've put these on sooner. Way better output than stock lights. I'm curious to see how they hold up in the long term with the lenses. My stock ones started hazing and were getting dull. I resurfaced them with 3M headlight restoration and that started hazing slightly after a year. For the time I spent doing the headlight restoration, I'd rather just replace the whole assembly again.

    Spec-d projector headlights

I recently installed the spec-d headlights also. Now since they come with halogen bulbs do the led bulbs u linked to work because I was confused because I was wondering if the DRL still work because the I can’t find led bulbs that also have a connector for the DRL? So what I’m asking is is there a way to have LED bulbs with the LED DRL?

I installed the Spec-D Headlights on my vehicle a few weeks ago. It's the Matte black version. I like how it updates the look of the Tacoma, but now I am beginning to notice similar lights on other trucks. I used LED's for the signal lights and the projectors. Definitely worth the money.

Is the purple hue to the DRL noticeable in person? In some photos in the thread it seems very pronounced. Yours looks a bit better.

Those lights with the newer color really update the Gen 2.

Dose anyone know what the white connector circled below dose and would I need it to be plugged in to do a LED bulb conversation?
