I loved that 4x4 Evo game, and played it until 2005 or 2006; I would put a CD in the CD-ROM and listen to it through the computer speakers, pretending I was jamming to my favorite songs while driving the truck!

But it had an AM radio? Sounds like it was optioned like a car from the 1950s!

Absolutely 100 percent positive about the radio, it was strictly an AM Radio. Maybe they had weird configurations of vehicles they sold to rental companies.

From 1990 onward, everything my parents owned had an AM/FM cassette at a bare minimum; The 1986 Mazda B2000 pickup that my dad bought in 1990 only had a basic AM/FM radio at first, but my dad had a cassette player installed at Circuit City. That 1986 Mazda also holds the distinction of being the only vehicle my dad ever owned that had a salvage title!

My uncle bought it at an insurance auction with front end damage, fixed it, and sold it to my dad for like two grand (A loss to him); The truck only had 40K miles! My dad loved that Mazda, but he sold it in 1992 because it didn't have A/C and bought a new Dodge Dakota that did have A/C!

The 2004 Cavalier l bought for my Ex-Fiance was a base model, it was a 5 Speed MT with AC and AM/FM. I went to the Junkyard and got a stereo out of a top of the line Cavalier(think it was a Z-24) it was AM/FM CD and l put aftermarket speakers in and it was actually quite good sounding.

The first vehicle my parents owned that had a CD player was a 1996 Nissan Pathfinder that my dad bought new in 1996; The first vehicle my parents owned that had both a CD player and a cassette player was a 2000 GMC Safari, also purchased new; The first vehicle my parents owned that had an actual AUX input and also the first vehicle with a backup camera was a 2008 Acura TL...

You told me about that; Why not go with a CD/cassette combo out of a Suburban or something? I think they'd all fit!

@PennSilverTaco I paid under 10K for that car, think it was $9995 if l remember correctly. It had roll up windows and no cruise control, l added factory mudflaps, the stereo and speakers and a nice little budget car.

My 88 I had in college was a shitbox. Might have had AC that didn't work come to think..AM-FM but I would have removed it regardless. Definitely had crank windows. My grandpa had a 91 that I am pretty sure was AM only..that had been a fleet vehicle.

Big Taylor fan as far as her music goes..mmmmm. Saw her open for Guns N Roses in 2011 and nobody knew who she was.

I want to say the 2007 Hyundai Elentra my folks got new was their first. They always bought older cars though. Guessing it had an Aux..

My wife's 2005 Rav4 had that combo, no aux though. I think the first vehicle I bought that had CD was my truck but it was taken out pretty fast.

My aunt's 2006 RAV4 didn't have AUX either; My aunt's 2009 RAV4 and my cousin's 2009 RAV4 both have the AUX, so it was added in either 2007 or 2008...

Sounds about right, I would have guessed those years. The current one (14) has CD and Aux/USB

I don't think it's been possible to get a Taco without tilt steering since 2004!

I Googled it and it says 14" steel wheels, AC, and AM/FM Radio. They list the original price at $10,135 but there must have been a price increase during the year because it definitely was right under 10K.
