Hmmm. I ordered one of these things but reading all these recent problems I'm beginning to doubt whether I should have it installed with the new clutch.

I think mine may be leaking as well, I have around 10k miles on it. checked the fluid reservoir and the brake fluid was murky, full of debris and the level had dropped closer to min. mark. This is exactly what my URD hydrobearing did.

I wouldn’t recommend it unless you want to pull your trans again in a couple thousand miles.

Ultimately my truck sounds 100% better when running because I don't have the TOB squeak anymore. So far the clutch feel has been consistent and as expected. I think a long distance road trip is really going to be the test this mod needs to determine viability based on the feedback I've seen from others on this thread.
Working on a few things now to set myself up for a longer distance adventure in March of 2021.
I suppose I'll report back after then on my experiences. :notsure:

Drove mine today to the grocery store & cigar shop. the only thing I can say is that it definitely had a different "feel" to the clutch pedal. I'd say that the return could be quicker. Still, the actual clutch engagement is perfect from my perspective.
    I guess @6 gearT444E & I got lucky? :notsure:

I’m going to go with the ones that are having problems are due to operator or install error :boink:

i dunno if i'd call it that, could be a bad seal or just a bad part. shit happens but id ont think its a huge issue that some people are making it out to be. i do know, the stock setup sucks and will go bad.

I had mine laying on my workbench when I was under my truck pulling out the trans and my 12 year old kid asked me what is this as he twisted and pulled it apart.

LOL, I was just joking when i posted that. I'm happy mine isn't leaking, a pain to drop the drivetrain with a crawlbox. I think some unlucky people just got the bearing that the fellow put together on a Friday afternoon or a Monday morning.

Install is so easy, and there are so few moving parts, I'm not sure how it is operator error. I wont rule it out, cause I just want it fixed.... so are you suggesting I pull it completely and reinstall?

    My shit is all stock.
This is how my truck greeted me this morning. Yep. It’s the Clutchmasters throw out bearing puking again.
Looks like I’ll be dropping the tranny again sooner than I thought I would. This will be the third time the trans will need to be removed because of a ClutchMasters failure. Do you think I’ll be using anything that they make ever again?

    My shit is all stock.
I had been running the “updated” oem release setup with the PDM bearing and quill sleeve before this pos. I’ll be going back to that setup. Not as fancy as this, but, it worked fine and was trouble free. The clutch itself seems to be fine. Although, I am considering just pitching that as well and going with a Spec Clutch. Just to be completely rid of CM.

I emailed CM Friday morning. I just forwarded the email thread I’d had going with them from the last set of problems. I sent the pictures of it leaking again and the pool under the truck. I basically stated that this will be the third time I need to remove my tranny/transfer case to fix a problem with their products or misinformation. I pointed out that transmission removal is neither fun nor inexpensive. I asked them what they would do if they were me. No response as of yet. But, a lot of places probably took Friday off. I guess we’ll see what they say next week.
