    I totally get it.
Unfortunately I haven't seen most of my cousins for years because they are scattered all over the US. It's nice to occasionally see what they're up to. That aside, for the most part I just treat it like the funny pics thread.

Good morning fellow Pennsyltuckyvanians!! Up and at 'em!! Time to make the donuts!!

Lynn and I had our traditional Saturday evening after Thanksgiving meal last night. We affectionately call it Pile. Alternatively, you could use the French word to make it sound a little more classy - Pile, pronounced the same as in English...but it's French, you know. We make it with the Thanksgiving leftovers.

Line a baking dish with leftover stuffing. Then layer in mashed potatoes, turkey, corn, or whatever leftovers you have. Put a layer of stuffing over the top and bake until warm. Slice and add that leftover gravy. Perfection!!

I put our turkey leftovers in my pressure cooker with 2 cups chicken stock, 2 cups water, big bag of carrots and celery... 20 minutes later we have soup... turned out delicious!

    Good Morning PA.
Had our last night upstate for the weekend fire. Nice way to end a long weekend. 20201128_190320.jpg
My leftiver specialty is bubbles and squeak. Brits do it with left over mashed potatoes, vegetables and butter. Fry them up in a frying pan like a potato pancake and enjoy. I tell folks the name comes from how it bubbles when frying and an hour or so after eating it, you squeak(polite Brit way of saying fart). I guess you could mix in leftover turkey as well.

    Have a great day folks.

I'm going to save a fortune on fuel oil this year, the furnace made an official resignation :boom:by filling the house with diesel like fumes as it ran (flawlessly I might add). It was only 50 years old -- I swear they don't make things to last... ;) Naturally I had just filled the tank. :frusty:

Why do you feel that way??

I could understand Go Gas Go Boom!!! sort of though that never bothered me.

The nice thing about oil throw the 100 gallon tank on the truck and haul my own oil

Works in the generator and F250 if I really had to.

Since no one will deliver once we see the first snow fall

The thing that's nasty about it is the cost. Two of my neighbors recently switched to NG. The service was run into my neighborhood after my home was built.
My understanding is that NG is far less expensive and more efficient than oil heat.

There's so much math to be done on figuring out what's actually cheapest it usually makes my head hurt. Propane usually works out cheaper than oil because it's more efficient, but it's not so much cheaper that it's generally economical to rip out a fully functional oil burner to replace it with propane, especially given the plumbing to equipment has to be redone etc.
