For the guys that had them non Tacoma spec how hard was it to line up? Seems that even when I wedge it still is “off”

the corner hits the valve cover which is causing it.

RIPP said they have not seen that issue but would check tomorrow at the shop. I would expect to have have to fight to get it to seal. They noted the crush washer if the spark plug will keep any water out but I don’t even want any on there in the first place. Anyway a little annoyed so far on said “fitment”

Thank you, still learning. The diagrams I’ve seen show a bolt there, and there’s threads in the hole, so I figured I was missing a bolt. Am I wrong?

Yah we’ll see what’s up. You can def bolt them on but they don’t sit flush like OEM. Feels like that the mount should be slightly different so your not fighting the valve cover

@nudavinci64 sorry to see the fitment issues for the new coil packs. Now I don't feel so bad about waiting to get mine, lol.

I was getting a fluttering noise under the hood at certain rpm, and I had a theory that it was my lower noose idler. I was right. Added a shiny new lower idler.

Hopefully just a slight setback I’ll be the test subject. Curious if they changed anything it. no one mentioned this using the retrofitted versions

Also that’s one insane pulley stack

I just ordered some RIPP coil packs yesterday. I got them for my 4 cyl but I can test fit one on the v6 and see what the fitment is like

Not much orange material on the coil housing to file down the corner contacting the valve cover?

I was thinking of doing that but doesn’t look all that thick. Going to see what RIPP says then go from there. I don’t like the idea of hair leave it the seal doesn’t need to touch feedback so far.
