As silly as it sounds I think a lot of people on here buy them for the look.
I am supposed to have a set of those pirelli at+ installed tomorrow, here’s to hoping they are good. 130 a tire was hard to argue with.

I had a set of KO2s and they were great. Until I got towards the halfway point of the treadlife and they started slipping in the rain. When going uphill from a complete stop, it was quite entertaining to say the least. I hace Falken Wildpeaks now and am about halfway on them now and they are still doing great.

KO2’s suck. Will always stand by that statement.

Falken Wildpeak AT3W is a solid replacement. Also, one that I believe is even better than the Wildpeaks is the Kenda Klever Kr601.

I’ve tried over 10 A/T tires in the lasg 3 years and the Kenda’s are the best.

I never said they were a bad tire. I just have been trying to point out that there are better tires out there especially if you drive where it rains a lot. If I lived in the south there’s a good chance I would purchase another set of KO2 in a E load. But I live in the NW and there are better AT tires for driving in the wet stuff. Just tried pointing that out and with the Tirerack review to show people there are other choices that might be better than the KO2 depending on where you live. And that was the point of this thread. To help this guy with other tire recommendations that might be better than the KO2 in the wet. Sorry if I took it in another direction.

I would have to agree with that as the Kenda Klever RT tires have been my favorite overall tire.

Maybe Discount Tire quoted him 268 a pop for Michelins like they did me? The Yoko g015 fir 114$ priced match with Wally World sounded way better lmao

They’re just so good. After 20k miles they have become a little louder; however not once have I kicked out, spun, anything...even offroad they’re like damn glue. siping is deeper than any other tire i’ve seen too

I absolutely agree when a C or E tire is needed.

Yea, they're not bad, but seriously after 2 years i'm driving really careful in wet conditions and I shouldn't have to do that. Haha.. they slip big time around corners and it's a little concerning being so light in the ass-end.

haha.. it always rains here. I think these are an older molder of K02's since I got them 2 years ago. If something has changed for 2020, I'm curious if they fixed this problem? Thanks!

I feel ya on the street tires. haha.. hard pass.

If it works great, and if your still having problems there’s lots of great tires out there!
    Good luck !

I live in WA state just north of you with just as much rain. No issues with my KO2’s not gripping. 285/70/17 C rated. They were also great up in the cascades this weekend. Don’t notice all the road noise either.

I just put on Goodyear Duratecs (SP?) 2 weeks ago. Had a run in the rain and they felt great.
