Just finished up Mike and Toms rhythm and threw a bass line in as well. My drumming is atrocious. 154bpm is just way to fast for me.

But it's the 1st full song I ever played on drums.

Just need to get Mike's lead in and can start on mixdown/mastering.

Total tracks - 8.
2 mono and 5 or 6 stereo.
Not sure if I just want to do the lead in mono or stereo.

Getting close.

 

Mix didn't come out to bad. Seems like maybe the guitars could have been mixed better. Something with the frequencies. Probably try headphones next time.

The Tascam is still way new to me. I probably know about 5% of what it's capable of.
Never messed with eq, compression, fx loop.

It's clear frequencies from one guitar are cutting out the other. A different EQ on one of the guitars prob would have fixed that.

Very fun song.
I still may add the piano later once I find my piano chart.

How do you like that bass? Been leaning towards a Yamaha, had one before and really liked it. Been eyeballing this one but would rather find something local...

It's cheap but it works.
I miss my Peavey foundation though with the maple frettboard.

 

Well.
I sent that folder to my pc and its huge.
It saved every attempt I made on the song. So that gives me a chance to remix it in maybe studio one.
I have to admit, its sounding better every time I listen to it, especially with earbuds. But the mix is still messed up.

The master and all the corresponding tracks are still on the tascam.
Problem is... It sounds perfectly fine on the recorder. It only has the weird compressor issues
when I transfer it to pc. Scouring forums aws.

 

You know @TeecoTaco I still have all my old recording gear here boxed up.
Tascam DP-02CF and some m-audio speakers. Would make a great setup on the cheap.

Plaster is such a bitch to mount things to the wall.

You can't tell, but the mount behind the PRS is not plume. It's driving me nuts. Gonna have to get the mounts that expand behind the wall. I still have one more to mount.

At least it doesn't look terrible with the guitar on it.

 

You doing this all on hardware or are you using a computer too?
