The UFC fights were pretty good last night.

    How’d the Tyson/Jones fight go?

Yeah, the UFC Fight Night was pretty good. Didn't look good on paper but 7/10 fights ended in finishes.

I skipped the fight night co-main to watch Tyson/Jones. It was exciting with some good exchanges. Tyson landed some good body shots on Jones. I was definitely left a little unsatisfied by the 8 2-minute rounds... and the clearly *not rigged* and unofficial scorecards.

I ended up falling asleep during the co-main and woke up right at the end of the main. I need to go back and watch them both. I know the results of the main but not the co-main.

Agreed, once Blades/Lewis was cancelled I wasn’t too excited about the card. The women’s fight on the main card was pretty boring (Ostovich sucks but damn she’s hot). The rest of the fights definitely exceeded expectations.

My former student, JSP, made his UFC debut last night. Proved he has a hell of a chin and waited his opponent out until he could get him on the ground, flatten him out, and rained hands. TKO in round 2! It is always great to watch "your kids" follow thier dreams and make them come true.

That was a good fight. I was hoping he’d get a performance bonus for it.

Anyone catch that slam last night by Jordan Leavitt on Matt Wiman?

In spite of the multiple positive COVID tests, it was a good card. Hermansson and Vettori had a really good fight.

I didn't catch Leavitt vs Wiman live, but I watched it after. Pretty coordinated move Leavitt pulled off.

Hermansson vs Vettori was a slugfest. Quite a few bangers last night but this one still stood out. Vettori still looked good in the 5th round.

I didn't even realize there was fights last night but I'm looking forward to next weeks card.
It's a quick turn around for Brandon "The Assassin Baby" Moreno but I've always liked him.
You gotta respect someone that's made it from Tijuana Mexico to a headlining title shot..

That slam was crazy how he immediately went to sleep. He was genuinely concerned about Wiman & a great sportsman. Leavitt needs to stop with all that post fight celebration crap though. It makes him look....uh...special.

Great fights overall. The main definitely didn’t disappoint.

I thought the same thing. I saw that he's married and they're expecting a child.

But yeah, he was great after the fight, even found Wiman's wife and talked to her for a bit.
