Agricover who makes the Lomax Tonneau cover also makes the ADARAC

Any chance they can design a way to get this for the Tacoma?

I inquired about pricing and requested an invoice via 2 emails with Luke at Truck Alterations on Monday. Later that evening I received a push notification from Fedex regarding an inbound package arriving on Tuesday. Sure as shit the tonneau cover was on my porch before noon on Tuesday. I guess I won the logistics lottery on that one. Props to @truckalter for outstanding customer service.

2016+ Tacoma is available on drop down on their website. Not sure if this was always the case? Looked at the Adarac aluminum M series.

Edit: I see that its stated as compatible with their roll up tonneau only, not tri-fold. the Tri-fold compatibility is probably what is coming?

Please keep us posted. I've been hunting for a solution which would allow full use of the tonneau as well as carrying 12-16' lumber without having to remove the rails. I assume it's possible to remove and store the rack bars when not in use?

    Hey,

Only the Pro series will work with the folding covers since they are tall enough to allow the panels to pass underneath.

I am checking on final pricing and availability and hope to know some answers by tomorrow...

Looking at the AgriCover website it looks like the Adarac pro is available for the Tacoma now. They say it works over the Lomax. Anyone tried it out? Curious how the more vertical uprights look.

I’m still hunting for a bed rack option to carry a canoe and still be able to use my cover.

Update: looking a bit more it looks like the install requires drilling the bed rail cap. Not sure how I feel about this option.

Yes, they are available... feel free to message me for pricing...

They do require drilling but almost everything for a Tacoma that works with a bed cover is going to require it unfortunately...

These are near perfect. I don’t understand the drilling part though. Why can’t they just make a single rail for people who want lomax + adarac? Why does it need to be two pieces? Especially when the lomax rails are a no drill on the Tacoma.

What a colossal miss. Other than that the product is perfect and pricing is hot. Stealth and streamlined when racks are off, presumably easy rack attachment when desired.

I think a one piece rail designed for both the tonneau cover and the aderack is a smart idea since it would be connected to the bed rails. I wouldn’t trust self tapping screws on the thin metal of the top of the bed sides to be strong enough to carry a canoe on the racks, I would be concerned the wind resistance could pull the screws out. Actually I would prefer more solid fasteners for the top of the bed sides as well as the fasteners on the bed rails. Drilling wouldn’t bother me as long as it’s a secure fastener.
The Tacoma bed sides are not designed for racks imho, slots for 2x4 posts like most trucks would have been good.

Totally agree. I'd have bought a new set of rails that were integrated with the track for the uprights. I'm going to keep looking or suck it up and do a custom fab (I've been saying this for two months now )

    Hey guys,

Not sure if answered before. Quick question when the cover is folded up, is there a way to secure the cover when it's folded up? OEM tonneau has that straps & buckle mechanism?

    TIA
