Anyone else bored/tired of Hamilton getting pole, leading/winning all the time? He's barely even shown because there is nothing interesting about having the best car

I started watching F1 in 1999 when Schumacher was winning all the time. I feel the same but one day he will retire, I think after one more World Champion.

Definitely an interesting race. Spoilers below!

First race I’ve seen in f1 with a fireball and a car flipped on it’s head. Other than that...... same old... :D

Here's his in car feed. I dunno if the FIA cut the moment of impact or it is where the feed stopped. Watch it before the FIA find it.

From those Live advantage points it must have looked like Gros might have died. I never expected him to get out on his own. Thankfully it wasn't that bad. Those halos have definitely proved how safe they made the cars. Lots of close calls with halos that could have been worse.

They were contemplating a canopy system like in Indy. He would of burnt I think if they used a canopy.

Thanks. I saw some debris from ahead and thought that might have contributed as well.

It looked like he saw a gap and steered to the right because the cars in front were bunching up to the left. I don’t think he saw Kvyat to the right which then pitched him off the track.

Huge kudos to the designers and proponents of the halo. Even after watching it happen it's hard to believe Grossjean wasn't decapitated. The marshal that sprinted across the track with an extinguisher did an excellent job and both the doc and safety car driver got right in there without really adequate protective equipment. The marshal with the extinguisher on the side of the Armco with Grossjean was a total failure. He panicked and started spraying yards away from the fire and never got close enough to to do any good. If Grossjean had needed help getting out he would have burnt up. That marshal needs a job where spazzing out wont cost anyone their life.

His extinguisher looked like it wasn't working correctly or powerfully... maybe he panicked and picked up the wrong type... Kudos though he did try.

In 2017, Grosjean said of the halo: "I have made myself clear since the beginning - we don't need anything. I am against every halo or shield or whatever. It is not F1."

    He since believes differently...
