Mountains here get crazy wind, some of the worst wind I've been in was up in the mountains... Not counting the one time my family and I had to outrun a tornado in Oklahoma on our way to Missouri

Last year my wife and I camped in the Sierras and the wind gusts got up to 50mph overnight, that shit was crazy. Forget about sleeping in an RTT when that is happening lol.

That experience in Oklahoma was nuts, I was maybe 9 yrs old. We were in a restaurant and the whole place got evacuated in a hurry because a tornado was coming though. Everyone literally just up and ran to their cars and left. I remember you could see the tornado in the distance as we were driving off.

Haha I don't doubt it, I remember all the tornado sirens on the streets. They had those in Warrensburg,MO where my grandparents lived and whenever they would test them it sounded like the end of the world

That's cool, looks like it will be a fun track. They do need to do a little more work to make it more motorcycle friendly IMO. Couple corners where there really doesn't appear to be much runoff for bikes.

I'm going to have to get a laptop for my return to school:pout: I don't know what my budget is but I need a computer that can run these requirements for solidworks

    • Processor: 3 GHz or higher clock speed (preferably closer to 4 GHz)
    • Operating System: Windows 10 64-bit
    • Memory: 32GB (16GB minimum)
    • Hard Drive: Solid State Drive (SSD), maintaining at least 20GB free space
    • Graphics Card:
      • Standard assemblies: NVIDIA Quadro P1000 or AMD Radeon Pro WX 4100
      • Large assemblies with simple parts: NVIDIA Quadro P2000 or AMD Radeon Pro WX 7100
      • Large assemblies with complex parts: NVIDIA Quadro P4000/5000 or AMD Radeon Pro WX 8200/9100

What's the cheapest one that can do that? Please help spoon feed this boomer

I'd tack onto that a full HD screen - 1920x1080 resolution, at a minimum. I run into a lot of 1366x768 and its miserable. I'm also more a fan of the business class notebooks, they're better built for dragging around campus and are generally less shitty overall. Dell Latitude and Lenovo T-series have been my favorites, although HP is worth a look as well. The stumbling part is getting a Quadro/Radeon Pro graphics card, that puts you squarely in the portable-workstation category.

    Whats your budget?

For myself I've never bought a new laptop - always been used from friends, ebay, and refurbs from woot. It sounds risky, but only recently did one of them finally fail, my woot refurb dell had a puffed battery pack after 5 years.
