I just did the overly expensive 30k mile service on it as well. So dropped a shit ton of money on those ridiculously priced Toyota fluids.

$43881-$31500+$19800 = $32,181 as cost before Tax, Title, License. This would be your finance number. You only have $19800 left on current loan. So, you would be increasing your debt by $12,381.

Would you be willing to pay $12381 for the following:
Push to start
Rear locker
Bigger infotainment screen
leather seats

Significant increase for small gains.

 

You're going off MRSP. The deal is for 29K out the door.

 

$43,881 was the MSRP before any discount. If i could have got him down around 14% off like i did with the Taco back in March i'd be slightly more inclined....9.5%, not so much.

Okay, so you can deduct the $1,000 Customer Cash - Brings you to $3,281.
If your sale guy is knocking $3,281 of the MSRP, then yes, perhaps you've save 7.48% off MSRP - NOT 9.5%

No great deal though for reasons outlined by others. I really want to know how you get out-the-door for $29K.
Keep in mind that the rebate is applied AFTER taxes are figured.

Agree. Unless this new 4Runner is offering something your current one doesn’t have and you just cannot live without that feature, I’m not seeing it. But again I am not one that needs a new vehicle every two or three years. I like to get my vehicle pay them off as quickly as I can and then have no payments for 10 years.

its 2021 and the 4runner still doesnt have blind spot monitors. They literally added all the other safety sense features but that one.... its the one thing i just dont get. But then again, they just added power seats in the tacomas last year so

Here's the deal. I have destroyed my truck since I bought it. I bought a 2020 about a year ago (Dec 19). I have posted a few threads where I have tanked the rocker panel (that's finally getting fixed next week!), I had water in Cyl 1 which caused a misfire, I had a rock behind my backing plate which made it sound like a banshee, I've hit the LCAs and cross members on some rocks in the woods which led Toyota to tell me I needed to call my insurance, and once insurance guy got there they finally showed me the "damages", insurance dude said they would have to make me whole, which meant replacing the frame. This was back in Apr timeframe, so when there was no service being done, I could see the techs drooling for a 40 hour job. I cracked a rear bumper cover and lost a license plate light (that one I'm actually impressed with myself. It pulled the assembly away somehow when I was in the trails, honestly no idea how that happened!) Anyway, point being technically I have "totaled" the vehicle from taking it in the woods. *

And I have only "needed" the locker one time. And it was up a rock crawl that I know people do without lockers all the time. Other "need" was just because I didn't have my sliders on and wanted to have all the help I could get. With the sliders, I wouldn't have thought to turn my locker on.

You do not need a locker. It does not do anything in the snow. Do not fall for that sales line.
