Glad to hear Hippolyta is treating you well. I agree that Spencer and his team are incredible and dedicated professionals and in the beginning phases of distributing the best RTT on the market. I'm incredibly happy with this product and would recommend Super Pacific to everyone and anyone.

But, one thing Spencer asked of me was to be critical and "Get this thing dirty" to find ways to improve. That's the job of us "launch edition" folk, for the best interest of Super Pacific, is to be critical and voice ways to improve this already incredible product. And, when people are dropping big chunks of change for this type of product, they should expect certain features. Your X-1 molds perfectly to your 2020 Off Road and it's encouraging to hear that. Now as they make some changes for some of us old timers out here, Super Pacific will truly have the best product on the market, and I think all of us in this thread would be happy to see that happen!

@JC_777 , Have you modified your rear suspension at all or plan to since you've added the X1? I have a 3rd gen DCLB as well and am trying to decide if it's necessary and if so, whether to go with air bags/helper springs or new leaf packs. Thanks in advance for any advice!

Nothing yet. Was planning on stopping buy a overland shop near me and getting some opinions. I know someone in their shop has an X1 as well so I wanted to see what they thought.

Holy pass through! You could get a pizza through that...in the box. That camper is beautiful, and sealing the back will be the chore of the industry. I've got a little on mine and it's like a dust bowl. Like to see how it will be solved. I ordered a sweeper gasket for mine and have not installed it. Thinking of redoing the whole back door.

Greetings Super Pacific Fans. Forgive in advance, but I'm a Ranger owner. This is my only source of SP info for the moment. I ordered my SP on 9/25/20, with a pickup date of 1/8/21 (after reading all the related post, I think the 1/8/21 date is optimistic). I'm so excited about this product.... I bailed on my GFC order, simply because I want to be able to stand in my truck bed without all the Jenga moves. I'd like your feed back on colors.... I have a typical "Ford White" Ranger.... I'm thinking Black or White for my camper color...just don't know... Looks like I may be the first Ranger Install.

I'm liking the contrast of black or dark grey on white. I'm pretty sure I'll be going with dark grey to contrast my white taco. Even though white's easier to match, I still think it can look kind of odd if the two colors are aaaalmost the same, but not quite. I think matte black on a black truck is the only real configuration of same color on same color that I really like.

I had not thought about Grey.... I agree with the "almost match" should I go with a white topper.

I *really* want to go with black, but I've spent enough days in 100+ deg weather that it makes me nervous that I'd essentially melt in a black metal box, even though I'm not sure grey would really be all that better.

The heat thing has crossed my mind but am unsure whether it will make a difference for me because:
    • I'm not going to hide out in the camper with the tent closed and direct sunlight hitting
    • If it's a hot evening and I'm going to sleep in the tent, it will be after sunset, at that time, the outside air will mostly dictate inner temp of my tent, not the shell.
Overall, it's poorly insulated and I would hate any type of camping (tent hammock etc) with 100C weather unless I have AC tbh.

If you have a dog/child that is trapped in there all day while you drive then that would be a concern def.

I mostly agree with you. When I think of 95% of the use cases we'll be using it for, I don't think it'll be that big of an issue. The only time some temp control would be nice is when I've gone to sleep at 3am at some festival/camping trip that's gone out of control, and the sun comes up at 530am and it's 140 deg in the tent by 545am and I want to die because I'm so hungover.

    LOL!!
Hey at least you're honest. I used to do festivals but we'd camp in ground tents and I never went to one where it was that hot.
Guess the question is would a different color make a noticeable difference in this scenario. Hard to tell tbh. I think the tent fabric and where you park would dictate most of your temp control.

We should get a black and silver SP park them in the parking lot and put a couple thermometers inside.

PS: Dude I you're crazy. I avoid any camping if its above 90F

Grey is kinda growing on me.... I prefer camping in cooler temps, but in parts of CA, it's often 90F+.
Still coming from a Bed tent, anything will be an improvement.

Same here. It just keeps saying "something went wrong". Might be a server side issue?

Seems like it would have said something like "private group" or something then? But who knows
