Got Nitto Ridge Grapplers 285/70r17. Been super happy with them. Quiet, ride awesome, and i think look really good. Had K02's before and I prefer the Nittos

Your well defined use of the vehicle says 2 sets of tires.

Michelin to run in spring, summer, fall w/o fear of light snows.

Winter tires for heavy winter use.

I know you said you wanted ATs. Just don't see it as optimal

Anyone who's recommended a tire without the TPMSF rating
Those aren't even winter rated tires....

I think your best choice is either the AT3Ws or the Toyo AT3s.

I’m wanting something aggressive, but also something road tamed a bit hence the AT. My prior builds I used the Toyo MT just due to the frequency I was actually using them. I attached a photo of my 2nd gen before the ex wife got it.

you all assume that I never touch the dirt at all, maybe that’s my fault I’m not explaining well enough. There is plenty of off road use whether it be hauling out the mountain bikes to some trails, dirt bikes to the dunes, secluded camp site or merely out to the desert to shoot some steel. My point is, I don’t go out to just off-road anymore. Before, I made it a point to obtain good recovery and equipment needed for the journey, I’ve lost that drive and now don’t do it.

I think your right, I’m leaning a bit towards the Toyos, just leery about buying the “first generation” of a new design. I felt the same way when the 3rd gen Tacoma’s came out, waited a bit first.

I went with the AT3s just because they are the newest tire in one of their most popular categories from one of the largest and highly regarded tire manufacture in the world. While the AT3W have great reviews, they are 4-5 years old now (which isn't that old) but you can 100% bet they were one of the benchmark tires Toyo used in designing their new AT3. Plus there are rumors floating around that Falken changed the rubber compound which has made their winter performance go down...?

Anyway, I'm pretty sure Toyo isn't going to release a shitty tire (But time will tell!) Plus, it's not like it's a forever thing. If after a couple of years they totally suck (again, I doubt they will) sell them and buy something else!

I've been super happy with both the on-road performance and winter performance of mine so far. I can't compare them directly to the AT3Ws but I can to the Duratrac's and I'd definitely choose the Toyo's again over them.

    Good luck!
