New VFtune install

My response was not meant to be anything but a way to give you an avenue to reply to emails that are not something you can do . It was just to give a response to emails , rather than no response al all . I did not mean anything else .

 

Sorry if my post came off wrong? I was just replying that that is what we do. We give the general "sorry this isn't something we can help with" response to a majority of these emails.

really the only emails we outright ignore is ones like "Do you guys tune mustangs?" or something to that effect that it's so obviously not part of our product.

I do my best to give everyone "a reply" but we do categorize things by importance, not necessarily by the time you emailed us.

 

I want to be very clear, I have never asked for anything except a ecu file after I paid for it.
I respond to every one of my customers quickly, and accurately. I actually read what they write, and do not respond to questions that were not asked, with information that has nothing to do with what was asked. I do not take two weeks to respond with you already have that information. It is the complete disregard for me that has made me so disgusted with this. I shouldn't have to ask people who do not work for you to help me. If I ask for a ecu I shouldn't be told that I don't get the ecu file unless I buy the tune pack. I shouldn't be treated like a dummy for trying to use the credits that I purchased. I had already bought the tune pack, and vf tuner software. The deal was according to you website that if we had a new ecu buy more credits for 75. I did that twice, not including the 1st ecu.
Seriously if you want to say anyone that complains is being unreasonable thats fine.

I can back up every word with dated emails back and forth. It shouldn't take two weeks to use a new set of credits, and require the assistance of someone who doesn't work for you. Then when that was explained, the answer was oh yeah if you load a ecu it will use the credits.

 

I am honestly still not understanding what issue you were exactly having. I can't help what I don't understand. Can you pm me your email? Because I truly want to better understand what you were told. Was it by Rafael?

I am also not sure what should we say when someone who doesn't buy the tune pack asks for tunes?

In our instructions under "opening your ECU File" outlines about asking you to spend your credits to open the file. If that is not clear we will try to make it more clear in our instructions.


Buying credits alone does not entitle someone to the tunes for that ECU.
I have no problem with someone complaining. Most of the time it has something to do with some miscommunication or misunderstanding and we genuinely want to figure out what happened.

 

I did not just buy credits and think I was entitled to tune files.
I bought the VF tune software, then I also bought the OV tune pack for original ECU ID 0413B the I did the ECU update to 0414B paid 75 for more credits then used them
I bought 75 dollars more credits for a 0471A ecu ID. That is the place where everything went completely off the rails. Yes it was Rafael.

 

Okay well please let me know your email and I will get this sorted out immediately. Rafael is no longer with us because of ....issues with him.

 

The portion of VF tune that has ecu ids in it, does not exist for me. It was not a option to select the ecu ID. It has never been a option for me. I kept asking for a link to a tune file. I kept getting crap about it.

 

please, please pm me your email so I can figure out what the heck Rafael told you, and get this fixed.

It looks like my emails we getting merged into each other and I guess ignored or misunderstood. Matt says Rafael does not work there anymore for things like this. I can accept that it was not his intention for it to happen this way. I was dealing with Rafael.

 

I feel like Matt cares. He did not know about this issue.

 

To continue on that high note, Matt cleared everything up for me this morning and the first tune is in. Will get some drivetime in today and tomorrow before a trip to Wyoming this weekend. Can't wait.

Novice here...I downloaded my vftune and flash, I noticed it has 04B02 files (For 2016 AT) BUT my truck has been flashed by the dealer sometime ago with TSB 0058-18 and when getting my ECU ID I have 04B04. I haven't messed with anything for fear of screwing something up. I sent Matt my ECU ID so I can get the correct tune packs, can I review these files or should I wait till I get the correct ECU tunes?

 

You cannot flash those files. Hold tight for the correct Tune Pack. Regardless, you want to be on 04B04. The latest is the best.

If you open the 04B02 files in vF, you will spend those credits and will then have to buy more to open 04B04 files.


If you are certain about 04B04, you can open the 04B04 Stock file in the vF installation folder to poke around.

 

Wait.
And if you want to flash an awesome tune, look in my signature and download one of those for 04b04. You won’t regret it.

Perhaps some clarity might be of assistance? As a total newb myself, I’m very interested in the VF tune. Reading through dozens of forum pages on the Subject as well as the manual leaves me very confused. You have ECU’s,ECU ID’s, ECU tunes, Tunes, tune packs, credits, and certain packs and credits and tunes don’t relate to one being able to obtain the other. “Credits alone don’t entitle you to tunes.” Honestly I’ve never seen anything like this. My guess is, you have to purchase the tuned data each time you want to use or apply it. I’m totally open to more accurate info.....and it seems needed as I read on from others. Do I have to pay someone if I use their data tune? Or do I give them credits? Confusing at best...

 

All the tunes are made to work with specific ECU ID's. When you purchase the software, you will receive 5 credits. Flashing any tunes for any ECU is free, doesn't require credits, and you don't need the ECU unlocked. The only reason you need to spend your credits is so you can edit tunes and make your own, if you desire.
