1st oil change: no washer on drain plug

    Any pics of the drain hole with no washer?

    Pure stock
    I use a PVC pipe to knock off the old one. I've found that if I coat oil on the pan side of the washer it doesn't stick as much.

    Mine stuck to the oil pan this weekend. Pretty tenaciously too! Texas inspection stickers don't stick that good. I don't know if I'd relish driving around knowing that there was no crush washer to bind up the plug against backing itself out. That crush washer is almost like a lock washer. Without it only a few degrees counter clockwise and the plug is in "free spin". Leaks would be the least of my worry.

    There's a steel washer stuck to the pan, looks like a raised lip however it's the washer. Wasn't easy to get off when doing my first change.
