Tapered Lift Block Leveling Kit?

Hey guys. Just purchased a 2” leveling block kit for my truck. I noticed that there were some that said tapered and others that didn’t I was going to go for the cheapest kit but there were a bunch of people that said they weren’t tapered. What is the difference and is tapered the best way to go?

What are you putting in the front?

 

Imo. I’d spend the extra money and buy Toytecs 2” block kit.

 

I have Bilstein 5100’s in the front.

 

Suspension is all about the angles. Lifting the vehicle changes the angles. An angled block in the rear is compensation for the lift in the rear.

Adding to this, the tapered block helps rotate the rear end upwards a little to try and keep the driveshaft at an acceptable angle. Without it, you could develop a vibration.
