Taco PRO Owners: Interested in a spring upgrade for front?

I think the most updated info is the 2020 springs will be available “soon”. Whenever “soon” is has yet to be determined exactly. The 16-19 model springs are still in R&D I think. Maybe the guys at Eibach can chime in.

 

All I want for Christmas is this spring upgrade

Gotcha, guess I was looking for an actual solid update rather than predictions and should be's.

Also should have noted I'm looking for pre 20 springs.

Have a Wescott on the pro suspension i picked up, just wanted a touch more, sitting a little high in the rear after an aal, thats with constant topper on the bed.

Thinking I may pull the .5" spacer off from westcott and put a 1" rough country spacer to give me an extra inch up front. Was just hoping for an indication as it looks like this doesn't have an end in sight, would love to avoid the spacer in place of a spring but its rubbing a bit.

The Westcott kit adds 1.5" total lift doesn't it? These springs are only going to add ~1.25" as measured on the test vehicle.

 

He could keep the westcott perches and put in the new springs, then take out the westcott spacers and it would put him at right around 1.75-2 inch of lift total.

The westcott kit has 2 modes of getting its lift, a new perch that adds .5 inch and a top spacer that adds 1 inch. Removing the top spacer and putting in the new springs instead should get him that tad bit more he is looking for.

 

Yes, this. Which is what I meant by interest in the spring, also achieving the same thing by swapping the top spacer, which is less ideal than the spring replacement.

 

can you buy new perches so when the spring is ready its a better version than wescott without buying a wescott setup.

You want a better version of the westcott kit without buying the westcott kit? You want to buy new perches, but not the westcott kit?

 

Thought I'd let you guys know I emailed Eibach Nov. 5th 2020 asking about 2017 Spring availability and they said "I would just keep checking back periodically through email or phone."
I than emailed them today, Dec. 8th and they said "Sorry Pat nothing yet, hopefully within the next couple of months!"

Maybe if the rest of you send them emails asking for springs it'll speed up the process. sales@eibach.com

 

@Burmapeak can you post the email you sent so we can all use that as a template to send to eibach. having the template will increase our chances of folks following through as it becomes super easy at that point to cut/paste and send.

Unless I've missed it, I don't think the 2020 Pro springs have been released yet either, correct?

 

From all the bits and pieces we've been fed it seems like they have springs for the 4runner but nothing for the Tacoma. At least not a spring for our shocks. They do have a complete coil over available.

 

I thought they were coming out with the the 2020 springs first, followed by the 2016-2019 springs since apparently they're different, IIRC.

 

This is the correct answer.

They made the 2020 springs first as the first test vehicle was a 2020. They were unaware that the 2017-2019 used a different perch style so they had to bring in a older model to make another new spring.
So this is turn resulted in 2020+ being designed, tested and built first. 2019- has been built and tested already but we do not have a large scale production of either due to corona.

 

Any word on the 2020 trd pro springs?
