Just ordered the 6112 on 4th and 5th notch with 650 pound springs. I added 1/4" spacers since I have a 100 pound bumper and 100 pound sliders. Planning to add a RCI skid plate and a Smittybuilt winch with synthetic cable. I read, and I read, I am looking to go a little faster over washboard and regain about 1/2-3/4 inches of height that the 5100/887's lost with the 100 pound bumper.

Let my know how the 650# springs work for ya. I was looking to get this setup with the 600# spring.

My truck has about 100lbs of gear in the front of the bed, RCI sliders, RCI alum. front skid, and an 18lb ARP front recovery point. To me, this is still pretty stock, but maybe the 650# springs would be better since i want to do full alum. skids.

Out of curiosity, are you doing the steel or alum. front skid and have to had to do the ECGS bushing? ty

I haven't changed the bushing yet. I am going with the aluminum skid plate, trying to keep the weight as low as possible. This bumper looks like a ton but it actually only added 96 pounds.

How long ago did you order them from Wheelers? Still waiting for my order that was placed mid last week to ship..

ordered the 4th/5th clip position with 600 lb spring since I don't have any extra weight like you do and have the AC cab.

I ordered on Nov 22, so I was really surprised to get them this soon. I am on the waiting list for the rear 5160's but I got them at the sale price so I am happy.

I ordered on the 24th and also ordered the 5160s along with getting a discount on all the stuff. They told me the 5160s were scheduled to arrive during late December.

Did they send you a tracking number via email for the 6112s?

I installed the 6112's today. I ran the truck out in the sand dunes to try it out. Off road the 6112's are a big improvement over the 5100/887 setup. After the sand whoops, the springs settled down to give me about an inch of lift in the front over the 5100/887's. On road the truck now has a firmer ride but it deadens the bumps nicely. I have an alignment scheduled in the AM and maybe I can get some interstate time in to report back on. I am really liking the results all the way around and looking forward to the 5160's getting here.

I too run the 6112's and they are wonderful. I'm a pavement pounder, and they just have the perfect amount of damping and rebound. Excellent, excellent coilover for the money.

Mine at 5th notch on both sides + 1/4" spacer on the driver side for the lean and 650lb springs. No aftermarket bumper or winch. Just a slider. Rides nice + the lift! Rear 5160 w/ Dakar HD.

Not everybody lives here but I am really glad I put a few miles on these springs before heading to the alignment shop. After playing in the sand, the front has dropped over an inch. This photo was right after I installed the 6112 combo.

Ready lift is offering a kit with some specialty upper mounts, that offer an extra 1/2 of lift to make the 6112 a full 3".

I'm a but curious how you like your ride over the next little while. I was really interested in the ready lift kit, I had 5100/5160 combo with stock springs and was going to update the front to that kit, until I found a set of pro suspension with a westcott lift in my area and went yolo. I bought that and sold the 5100/5160, mostly because the ready lift kit came with the 600 spring, and I eventually want to add weight.

Not to detract, but just food for thought.

22 5/8" I would say. I am really happy because the front drive shaft, cv joint angles, look way better. Soon as I put the Taco on the ground I was thinking " I am gonna have to re do this install and remove those upper spacers. Glad I took it for. a drive first.

Isn't that just like adding a 1/4" spacer (1/2" lift) on top of the top plate of a normal assembled front 6112 coil?

Were you able to measure length of the Ready lift assembled 6112 coil-over from top of top hat to center of lower eyelet?

Have you checked the inner front axle boots at 3" over stock? From those Tacomas' I looked at only sitting 2" above stock, they had the inner boot fins on the front axles already wearing. A front diff lowering kit might solve this but there are some negative posts about adding one to the 3rd gen for some reason.

Ot would appear more a pre load spacer than a top spacer. And the kit does come with diff drops.
