The heater in the camper is being a pain in the ass too. Went out and turned it on earlier cause it’s not winterized (we’re using it in a few weeks). Furnace turns on and lights. I got out an hour an a half later and it’s not running and cold again inside. So I turn it off and back on. Fan starts and no lighting. Grrrrrr. I think I’m maybe that tank is empty or low. Try the stove and it lights fine. Switch to the other tank and heater lights up. Damn thing did this last winter and I thought I had fixed it. Now it wants to be a pain in my ass again when it’s dropping to 28*. Going to check it again in a bit.

So it only works from one tank and not the other?

Like an air bubble in the gas line? When that happens on my grill I unscrew the fitting on the tank then put it back on.

Our next one will be a Grand Designs 5th wheel. But I don’t need a 7’ shower. Lol

Buddy of mine just bought a 42’ Grand Designs, one of their top ones. I don’t even want to know what he paid for that thing. Looked at it on Thanksgiving. It’s a front living. Has 2 couches and 2 recliners in the front with a window looking out the front. Tv that comes up out of the cabinet when you turn it on. Kitchen with an island and master has double vanities and all that. Also has 2 bathrooms in it. Has hydraulic slides and leveling system on it, his storage is as big as our camper. Lol

Course he makes a lot more than I do too. Some of them are nice to look at though. But then again I enjoy working one job. But I guess working on the ambulance is a change of pace from his regular desk job.

I think that one tank may be low on propane. But it did it last year with both tanks full. I even swapped out the tanks to two others that were full. Same thing last year. I’ve read some people online have had to replace the board on the heater to fix theirs. I moved some wiring around last year and it was firing every time. So I rerouted the wires to where they weren’t getting pressure on them from the side wall. Thinking that was the issue.

There was a slight smell of propane near the tanks tonight. I wonder if it has a leak and sucking air into the line or losing line pressure?

The burners on the stove light right up though. I’d think I’d see an issue there if that was the problem.

Last camper we had the "sail switch" was bad and causing it not to light, still had a couple issues after they fixed it but seemed to work at the end when we sold it.

Yeah I had read about the sail switch also. May order one and try that route. Weird thing is this one will light fine then all of a sudden it would just decide not to. Then it was a good up before when you tried it again if it would light or not. I hate messing with shit. Wish you could buy stuff and it just work. But then again these things get beat to hell going down the road so it’s just bound to happen. Hopefully it will be warm in FL and not even have to use the damn thing if I don’t get it figured out beforehand.

I let the lifetime warranty go on it cause I found it kinda ridiculous to Pay them $300 to clean some orfice’s and inspect the seals. I can do that crap. Plus as of right now like I told my wife. I’d be at $600 in inspections and I can buy a brand new furnace for that. Not like 12v crap is hard to install. Plus you know they’ll do everything they can to not warranty crap anyway.

    Same brother. Lol

I had turned both tanks on and put the selector in the middle position to auto switch if one got low. Smelled propane. So I switched it to one side I knew had more in it to use that tank. It switched on and kit this last time when I did that. We’ll see what happens.

Yeah may just order a sail switch and see what happens. Thanks for the suggestion and reminder about it.

Also, sounds like it quit again out there. Bah!
