One of my goals someday is to drive something older than I am the entire length of route 2.

Honestly, I drove my 6600 mile road trip and it was a blast. The only time I ever missed having my Mazda was the mark Twain forest through Arkansas. On google maps: Louisville to Mountain View AR. That drive was itching for the throttle. I was in a brick of a truck though, if I had my old Mazda or let alone something even more fun than a FWD automatic....I definitely would have...actually I saw ZERO law enforcement so I would have been fine.

I’m the opposite. Put me on an ATV and i’ll promptly find out how fast it goes and how well it fish takes and does donuts.

I live on a rural highway and drive my 4wheeler around town to neighbors sometimes. I've hit 50 on the road, but its just a long ass straight line. It gets a little ehhh tho and I'd want "street" tires to do any faster.

    Morning, assbitches.
Zero sleep last night; I think I fell asleep right around 3:30, and I slept until my alarm went off at 6. This is going to be a looooooong day.

    :bananadead:

Goodmorning to you too assbitch. :fistbump:

Somehow I drove only 717 miles in November. I live 4 miles from work, it was dark early so wasn't going to the woods/dog parks at all after work, didn't go anywhere for the holidays, and had a week off. I have a sneaking suspicion January will be similar. With any luck, I might be able to sneak by without having to get gas for the month of January. as long as I don't use my remote start.

That's probably about what I drive in a month anyway
    I should track it sometime...

I track it with mileage. I have a spreadsheet because I'm a nurd. I top off at each fill up, so I can track how many gallons and miles since, gives me the real MPG. I use that to also track maintenance intervals and what's upcoming and what is overdue for maintenance based on time and miles.

    I am fun at parties.

You’re describing my normal routes haha. I’m perfectly happy on back roads like that. If I absolutely have to get on the highway I will. If nothing else it forces me to look at a map and get creative.

That was the best part about riding; pick a road and see where it goes. Sometimes finding your way back was a challenge, but it was always a good time.

That's more in-depth than I get. I use trip meter #1 to track distance between fill-ups for real MPG, and trip meter #2 to keep track of the oil changes. That's about as far as I go, though.

Oh I fully understand I am overkill. I work in Aerospace, it's hard to turn off the give a shit meters. It helps for the maintenance log though because I am not going to be going to Toyota for maintenance. Well, maybe - depends what they would do under the service stuff, I'm at 20K so if that stuff is all included (diffs, etc) then maybe. I'd have to find a different dealer service though, my local service is no bueno.

Morning fellow idiots. Damn wind storm blew a tree branch directly onto my windshield and cracked it pretty good. Just missed my roof by maybe a fraction of an inch. 20201201_084032.jpg 20201201_084114.jpg

I've got comprehensive coverage for the LC. So it costs me nothing. I'm trying to finagle getting the Lexus LX470 glass since the lexus glass has an extra layer of sound deadener in the glass. But the lexus glass is like $1000, IIRC the LC glass is like $600.
